Morning all

Very frosty here, all three cats are in, each on blankets evenly spaced out along the sofa - very rarely do they all sleep together like this, within inches of each other, 2 often but not all three ...

So Ive got to creep around the house, no banging, crashing or vaccuming

Ive had a message this morning from Errant son, they are going to Fountains abbey tomorrow and then calling in, evening he said ... I know the route does not make sense but possibly he is en route to his mates and GF in their cabin in Wales ...
I am hoping he/they don't intend to stay over - Ive got the guest room set up for Saturday night for when eldest son and his GF are arriving. The boys room is made up but its also a bit of a mess - Ive got the cruise dresses hung up and various Christmas deco boxes waiting to go back in the loft plus its the dark side of the house and freezing cold in there.

I also have no idea if I am expected to put on any food - soup and bread rolls I can do easily.
In theory I could do beef casserole as a just incase ...

Hopefully OH will be back early as Ive no idea what I am going to say ...

I do suspect errant sons motives, why he is coming here. He has not been since August and that was only to collect another car load of his stuff (and his car paperwork as he had sold his car and not bothered to tell us) Possibly he is collecting more of his stuff eg winter clothing as I think there is still stuff here ...

On the drag yet again, I hope to catch up later today. . Still not been in a shop since before Christmas . DH has done so very well bless him.

I'm due a visit from my doc this morning and he's not going to be a happy bunny :eek: I know I joked the other day about me overdoing things, well it wasn't the drink, did too much messi g about when I should have been calm and sitting down, my back is no better . We played that card game about Humanity and I had everyone in stitches, some I read out before I realised what they said :eek: :eek:

I've had my fun and I've really got to keep myself on the right side as I do not want to hVe to go in for another op on my back. Since Boxibg Day I've been good though and obeyed my jailor :rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning all! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I've been slowly catching up but been rushed off my feet for days, first trying to get the spare room wallpapered, carpeted and with a working door in time for my family on Christmas Eve (done with an hour to spare! :eek:), then preparing all the presents to and from all family members and cooking Christmas dinner, then trying to put the house back together and travelling up to DH's family early on Boxing Day! I was grateful for a lie-in today, I can tell you

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get to the supermarkets on Boxing Day so no cheap turkeys for me, but it seems like lots of you have done well. I'm thinking that there will be lots of turkey and gammon pies made over the next few weeks

There wasn't a lot of Christmassy stuff left in-store by Tuesday, but I did get to T in time for whoopsies last night! They only do around 65-75% off in my local,but it was still good enough for me. Got some finest party food and some finest ready meals for just over £1 a pack, lots of Christmas dinner veg all 10p a bag, and a massive pork roulade joint for £4 instead of £14-odd :T

I also went to a big T earlier in the day before we left Nottingham, and timed it perfectly as they were just bringing out dozens of RTC crates of beer and cider. :T They were either missing 1 can/bottle or just had broken packaging, but whereas they normally just reduce it by £1, they were all half price, around £4-5! :D:D The bad thing is that I opened the San Miguel last night and found that the missing one hadn't been nicked as I'd thought, but had obviously previously smashed as there was still lots of small shards of glass inside and stuck to the bottles :mad:

I'm hoping the others aren't as bad as they're mostly cans, but I will be complaining to T this morning, that's for sure!
