yep, ostrich steak was £5 each, RTC 50p each, I'm guessing you have them like standard steak with chips and mushrooms!

Freezer rammed, might have to give T's a miss the morrow... ;)

Lynx set and other gift sets RTC but alas shelf empty,

cheese and cider gift rtc £3,

cheese and port gift rtc £4,

How much (in case our shelves are not similarly empty)? Probably cheaper than M:o:o - it doesn't take too much to be cheaper than M:rotfl:.

Oh no:(, not 50p Pot Noodles again:mad::mad: - that'll be no good for wombles. And Mug Shots can often be got cheaper elsewhere - people think 50p is a good price:wall:!

I've been thinking about George Michael......I might have it totally wrong but the way his death is being portrayed is that he was "found" in his home about 1.30pm yesterday. I just got to wondering why he was alone on Christmas Morning ....:o

Edit.....just speculating I know and this may not have been the case......just pondering........

My friend said that too. So sad if he was alone.

    Good evening!

Went to Tesco and Asda today after mid afternoon.
Asda was very quiet, not much Christmas stuff at all. I did find Asda brand roasted & salted almond (300g) and pistachios in shell (300g) for £1.25 each. I thought they were good price.:j Managed to get some 10p veggies as well.
Oh, also popped into Superdrug. They had a ecotool gift set for £4.99. It's this but Superdrug deleted it from their website. Didn't realise how much the RRP was so didn't buy one! :(Going to go back first thing tomorrow.:o

Not pistachios, or not pistachios specifically (I have no idea what they are), but mixed nuts in shell (300g) now £1 RTC in M. There are other nuts (227g:( and :rotfl: at my frowning!) also on £1 RTC. I do not know what price the 400g Chestnuts now are - I have lost those this time:rotfl:. I think that may be a temporary loss as only able to use 3 stores due to restricted opening today. I did have the chestnuts in one of my nearby stores as one of my 'last remaining stores' with them before Christmas - wonder if they are still there. I was logistically not able to use my nearby stores and manage three in the day as I needed to have stores that would help me find a wider range of items. I also couldn't use the nearer (than today's store but not nearby) small store that has a lot of the wider range. There are a lot of items the small store doesn't have that I did need to have elsewhere and I needed three stores to try to piece up this non-small store range. I would probably therefore have needed a further store if I used the small one and, even though some stores in that area are closer together, I think trying to drive through urban areas in the afternoon would have meant I couldn't make four! So, I had a cunning plan to use three other stores instead (three very carefully selected ones to try to get the wider range required) and, whilst I've lost a few items (temporarily maybe), I'm actually not that many short - not that many more than the usual I normally have missing after six.

So, whether or not "they" (the APG or TBG, or both) have done price collections today, I have done one anyway. I think I've actually done rather well and found many of the items I needed to see. There was almost no traffic on the roads at 8am today on this Monday morning - I've seen more traffic in the middle of the night! I managed the three stores planned - and finished what I needed at four minutes to five pm in the last store:rotfl:. All very carefully timed out weeks in advance, as is needed:D. It's some seasonal items that I am missing that happen to have gone from all three - however I've managed to have half the gift sets in one store and half in another:T:j:rotfl:. I nearly lost the Terry's Segsations but they turned up - not much stock but still turned up! - in the final store. Sadly they appear still be to £2 and not to have gone down:rotfl:. Otherwise, the three stores have got me a good range - they were very carefully selected with that aim and it seems largely to have worked:). Of course they all had to be within travelling distance within the day as well so I managed to work that in. Some items I don't have but the price of some can be guessed from other items in the range and I may find the few outstanding ones on Wednesday.
