bubbs, DS2 lost his cursor once, he was convinced he needed a new laptop! Had a good morning at the sales. Got easter presents - wine gums, jelly babies & choc eclairs boxes reduced to £1 so everyone is getting a box of each tied together with a ribbon. Much better value than chocolate eggs. Brazil nuts and fruit & nut packs were reduced to £1.25 so also bought some of those as had long dates on them.
Got all of my family Xmas cards for next year at half price plus a few nice gifts for DD at the card shop. Spent £18 but I see that as saving £18.
Managed lots of nice gifts in Superdrug as only me there when they opened the doors so DD has 2 nice make-up brush sets, some bubble bath, eye pallette, lip glosses, make-up bag, etc already for next year. box neatly packed ready for the loft.
I came home laden with bags. and very happy with what I had bought.
Sainsbury's were reducing turkey crowns to 75% off, nearly tempted as there were some beauties. They also had stuffed ducks, pork, chickens all heavily reduced. Mostly dated 27th so would have frozen well, but determined to use what I have in the freezer from woopsies before buying some more.
Off to throw a little 'left over' buffet together for the 3 of us for tea before settling to watch a couple of films.
Elaine, where were the wine gums, jelly babies and eclairs from please? Thanks.0 -
Evening all
Just like xmas eve I have not moved from the house. Should have done as very little food in. Yes I know it is Christmas but I only got food in for dinner yesterday and only really cooked what we needed. I have Turkey which thanks to Serens idea was absolutely divine but not sure what to do with the rest of the breast. Well more to the point I have ideas but foot so painful after being on it cooking dinner yesterday I can barely walk:eek:
Been good and not ordered anything in the sales either. Really fancy the drastically reduced airfryer on amazon but not really got anywhere to keep it.
Mr Ted was shuffling around this morning looking for a box but alas none to be found. Thank goodness really or you would have all got yet another photo.:rotfl:
Anything on tv today?

I would like to purchase a new phone to use for cash back sites could anyone recommend a good phone please. (i need something that is simply to use as not very tech minded!) Thank you very much.
Sorry I can't help much, but I did buy a Cubot mobile phone for the same reasons and so far so good it was under £65.
Now you're here please stay, or keep popping in, you're more than welcome :Tbraveheart60uk wrote: »https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/tariff/lg/k4/?productId=1e4955af-35bf-42fc-9c2a-528021728628&planId=&contractType=paymonthly
I have this as a 2nd phone, had to buy £10 Credit, but good for emergencies. I turn off mobile data and tether it to my main phone for apps, and load apps on home broadband, so no expense, just call it every few months to keep it active.
Allows O2 priority moments without any hassle.
I use it with my main one for O2 freebies, Monday meal deals at Boots, so keep extra £1 meal on work fridge for Tuesday. I just say I have "the other half's phone so she/he/sheep can also get the deal". as tethered no internet costs and accepted with no problem.
Also signed up "other half" to Greggs (free hot drink and Birthday dohnut(strange how birthdays are tomorrow), KFC for free side on sign up, used on blippar. also have Boots/Superdrug etc apps on each
Whoah there, I followed at the start and got a look at the phone  but what's this thethering milarky you speak of  I haven't the faintest idea how to set about that :rotfl: :rotfl: I suppose YouTube would be a good start :Tnewtoyou99 wrote: »Thank you braveheart will have a look at that phone. You lost me a bit with the tethering!! but one of my new years resolutions is going to be more tech minded in 2017. I have a 7 year little boy and he knows more than me!!
Thank you bubbs for your warm welcome. I will try and post regular from now on.
Welcome my friend, I'm in the same boat, well as far as tethering goes :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: its lovely not being the only one, isnt it? xxThere's no place like home

yep, ostrich steak was £5 each, RTC 50p each, I'm guessing you have them like standard steak with chips and mushrooms!
