Morning all. I'm slightly shell-shocked. Got an e-mail from British Gas yesterday to say I've won a £500 S gift card!!! I shall have to stop saying I never win anything! Is anyone planning a whoopsie reduction trip to a supermarket....?
I know in previous years some have got lucky and wondered what plans people have.
Round here I think that there is going to be a huge amount of veg left as most of it seems dated 27th so my guess is if you are brave you could pick that up cheap tomorrow...but on the other hand with most of it being around 20p a pack even now it hardly seems worth joining the scrum.
most of the reduced stuff I have bought has been in the party food area over the past few weeks ....some lovely selections in m&s for 50p a pack and similar in T the other night too.
Our T's is open on 26th, so food dated 27th will still be on sale then.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. As you say, most veg are a good price anyway this year.
But whoopsied fruits would be welcome, as would M's cranberry pork sausage rolls, love them!
So yes, I'm going tonight, and tomorrow after work, for fruit, sausage rolls, and any bakery/cream cake section reductions.
Will also check on creams & cheese. Who remembers making butter a few years ago, from the cream we were all getting as whoopsies?!
i remember it well,so funny.i didnt try it but loved reading about everyones efforts.:rotfl:0 -

I was in Ts yesterday and just happened to be there around the time for reductions - there was not a chance of getting anywhere near. One man seemed to have cleared everything (I mean a mountain in a trolley - you just hope he had the fridge space to store it all). There seemed to be gangs of people working together.
Never mind, I am sure their need was greater than mine :A.
I am not near enough to be in the gang.

I signed up to PayQ in T during the summer (as you know, as I posted it here :A). I haven't used it since as it wasn't availale in our stores. It has now been rolled out to other UK stores (not all yet). I have received an email to try it again for another 500 T cc points
So it may be worth doing the 5 transactions for 500 points then leave it idle for a while.
