Is anyone planning a whoopsie reduction trip to a supermarket....?
I know in previous years some have got lucky and wondered what plans people have.
Round here I think that there is going to be a huge amount of veg left as most of it seems dated 27th so my guess is if you are brave you could pick that up cheap tomorrow...but on the other hand with most of it being around 20p a pack even now it hardly seems worth joining the scrum.
most of the reduced stuff I have bought has been in the party food area over the past few weeks ....some lovely selections in m&s for 50p a pack and similar in T the other night too.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -

I've promised a home made Christmas chocolate dessert:eek:
And I haven't even decided on the soup yet:(
Can we just put Christmas off until after the weekend please :rotfl:
..well ive already done Christmas 2 days running, but without opening pressies and done 3 night shifts with baby..
Last Friday went to London and watched the new stars wars film at the )02 courtesy of the free cineworld vouchers but splashed out on a gingerbread latte coffee at costa, bought a meal deal at t and had when we got back to travel lodge in the evening as we had already eaten at bella italia at beckton using vouchers that ran out on 20th.
Also at beckton we bought the super yummies, and optiwell (free from I think it was cos) and found 2 butterfly brollies
Saturday we drove to W bought several of the sensations and innocent juice, and the bacon that was on GJ so breaky sorted for the next morning...juice and bacon sarnies, optiwell and yummies a snack for GS.
We baby sat Saturday evening then sunday morning took GS to waterloo on the bus, on the eye which he was fascinated by, saw some street artist, saw the big red coca cola lorry and lunch at pizza express using a googled voucher code which I googled whilst eating and a gift card, as well as free dough balls
Monday travelled home with DIL and 2 GS, car had to be scrubbed a eldest gs suffered from travel sickness...yuk yuk .
That was then my 1 st night sleeping on a mattress on the floor in the lounge with baby gs in the 'silver cross pram' ...I was comfy enough but baby is very noisy sleeper and is a windy baby so very disturbed.
Tuesday took gs into town doing t shop I couldn't do the day before, bought an edam balland used a conditional spend, but wasted 8x cg vouchers as again they needed to be bought the day before so I had to buy cg x 3 as I then had got time to make any for our starter fortunately they were still on offer...but u+g oos, so only bought hips.
We had 10 for dinner, I used the dove minis, the nivea ball from superdrug sale last year for the men and little angles minis 10p from a last week for the table pressies as well as crackers from 3 years ago. As well as the soup for a starter we had roast chicken, gammon from earlier in the year (I missed the offer a few weeks ago:() xmas pudd 4 years ood, brandy sauce 2 years ood, snowman cheesecake rtc last xmas (it had been frozen) I put raspberries and used a hipp as a coulie...everyone had had enough so the edam and cheese board went back in the fridge.
Wednesday diner for 9 this time the table pressies were tubes of sweets as they were younger relatives but appreciated the jelly tots, smarties and various other sweets..swapping them round the table like little people do...We didn't have a starter this time but had salmon cooked in mango and ginger- tasty- and a homemade fresh fruit pavlova, apple pie and oppo ice cream (free a while back)..but again no cheese and biscuits.
Thursday-cooked brunch for 6, babysitting in the afternoon then son and family leave go home at 4, I then take daughter and husband home -round trip of an hour, get home shattered. DH home from work and already emptied dishwasher and refilled it.
Not much in the way of left overs to use up so I cooked the remaining salmon and new potatos ..yummy..i must get some more salmon whilst its still on offer.
At the moment I ache all over because I was in bed too long..i went in the spare bed which has a massage topper on it, but fell asleep before it stopped, that was at 10pm I woke up at 10.30 this morning ..i have never been in bed so long, I have just had my morning tea and toast.
so that was my xmas.
but saying that I still have 9 for xmas day...Bubbs beef it is on that day .....and pressies......table pressies I have rtc from last year crackers with a miniature drink in them....Phew!!
A huge thanks to all who have posted about the offers and glitches that have been around in the last few weeks, I would never have had time to check half of these out myself. xx
now back to catch up0 -

As you say, most veg are a good price anyway this year.
But whoopsied fruits would be welcome, as would M's cranberry pork sausage rolls, love them!
So yes, I'm going tonight, and tomorrow after work, for fruit, sausage rolls, and any bakery/cream cake section reductions.
Will also check on creams & cheese. Who remembers making butter a few years ago, from the cream we were all getting as whoopsies?!The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
Anyone buying the 20p brussels from A, buy them separately as seen on a womble they compare against other supermarkets. Think brussels in S & w were £2
They don't compare against T tho0
