Just done a bit more wrapping. Home Bargains have a very nice range of Nordic rustic looking arran hats, snoods, scarves, gloves and slipper socks with very posh looking cardboard labels and some have wooden stars as well.
The stock seems to come and go very quickly. Finally after oscillating between 3 Home bargains for weeks I found one with what I wanted in for eldest child.
so she now has
an arran bobble hat
artic slipper socks
a red notebook
Green and Blacks tasting selection
and the watch she wanted
Now I've written the list it does not look enough. I have to bear in mind that she is on the train so I cant give her anything too bulky or heavy. And I am restricted on what I can get her in the toiletry department because of her delicate skin. Her m-I-l gets her posh perfume so that rules that out as well. They are not allowed lit candles as they are renting.
It would be nice if I could find a nice groupon/livingsocial meal deal but they live close to London and the choice is overwhelming ...
Still a few days to try and come up with a brainwave...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
My husband's favourite misheard song was Paul Simon's grace land. He heard" The way she brushed her hair and farted" instead of the way she brushed her hair from her forehead. Still cracks him up."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

My mum's old favourite was Gladly the Cross-eyed Bear for the hymn Gladly the cross I'd bear.
That just made me laugh out loud. And I'm on a bus darn you!“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.” ~ Ferris Bueller0 -

I hope to start getting back on here more after Christmas - at least when I have my surgery at the end of Jan I'll have a lot more time! :rotfl:
Things are going fantastically for me, still have to pinch myself as can't quite believe it. Instead of being my usual miserable self about the new year, I can't wait for 2017 as I think its going to be incredible. Lots of change, and I can't wait.
I hope everyone is well. I'm sorry, I have no clue what is going on although I did see on facebook that altojack has been poorly, so I hope you're doing better now. Thanks to everyone that has sent me messages, and to bubbs for keeping in touch. You're all wonderful. :A
Thanks for the update. Best wishes to you both for 2017.:beer:0 -

A lot of the others have gone to look very old and scraggy, a suppose an indulgent and/or degenerate lifestyle does not help
