Morning Elite,
I seem to be getting further and further behind with Christmas. I'm going to make the gingerbread dough (to freeze), fudge, coconut ice and mince pies today.
I've just checked my Waities vouchers I got the other day and I have got a £10 off £50 spend and a £10 off £50 wine spend ..
Could I ask what are the chances of using both on the same shop.? Please. Has anyone tried anything similar.

Oh dear that sounds bad, must have been an awful experience for you both.
I was going to call an ambulance but it was so bad I managed after a couple of attempts to steri- strip it and put one of those all around bandages on it..then we wizzed to hospital and were seen quickly but it was already through his jeans by the time we arrived....he needed an x ray first so that was fun as he couldnt get into a wheelchair.
I shook like crazy, which is unlike me so I am back on my meds for a few days to settle me down as I have stopped sleeping again0 -
Good morning all....
Had a lovely chrismas meal out yesterday with OH and DS ....so I can confirm christmas has begun in our household.....I even missed T reduction time so this week we will have to eat full price.
Todays task is to source the christmas beef...I have a gift voucher from S so I think I will go there and possibly get a small pork joint too.
Mountains of washing to do...the downside of DS coming home...but I'm on the second lot of the morning so only another 2 to go after this one.
Still a few presents to wrap and deliver to extended family...but that might not get done till the end of the week.
I will have a look at the edam...but have to confess that I have dropped off the TMF's recently as most of what has been posted on the freebies thread seems to be about companies not always honouring the claims as they claim not received!....TMF's used to be fun but when you end up chasing them its not so entertaining so I have only partook really if its something that we would definitely use and not of high value that if the claim is rejected or the offer pulled I have not lost out......
have a good day all...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Hi thanks for thinking of me lol. Yes I've bought one now .I got a canon pixma one .
Good Morning all just debating whether to buy an Edam ball or not now
Good choice! We've kept our Canon printer going for years but the other makes we used to use would fail mechanically after about a year or so. Plus the local shops have ink cartridges we can use. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Morning all. Still need 3 gifts for 2 men in their 20s and one older, had been hoping the FatFace order would come through, but it's back to the drawing board. So many nice things for women, men are so hard to buy for
Have a good day everyone x
I can sympathise I've had the same problem and I was also driven to desperation - I have not actually got OH anything yet - he has given me the link to a very tedious engine he wants and I need to be doing that ...
What is the approximate budget please - perhaps we on the Elite can put our heads together
This probably wont help but here is what I got my problems
Eldest son got an Amazon echo dot - quite gadety but I was at my wits end with him. Also a wine decanter with a section in the side to put ice cubes as he does not like his wine diluted down
Youngest son - very outdoorsy so I got him a Mountain Warehouse fleece from Tesco direct, travel book from Amazon. I also got from Groupon a meal deal for a nice 3 course meal in a local caf! and also entry tickets to a local wildlife rescue centre
Eldest childs BF - a tie with pheasants on and cuff links with the same (he is always impeccably dressed, even tweed jackets with jeans at weekends) and also a set of miniature whiskies as he is just getting into Whisky.
blokes like vouchers - iTunes, Amazon and eating places are good. Also cinema or theatre gift cards
look at places like Beerdock - nice glass and beer sets
notonthehightstreet - another good place for ideas
Groupon/living social - numerous activity type presents
Avoid anything too obvious like toiletries, socks and underwear unless they specifically ask for them or they are fun joke presents
Books are good if you know their tastes
cashmere scarves - v pricey, managed to get one in a sale one year
moleskine - do very nice luxurious diaries, planners, notebooks - try Amazon“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Just a gentle reminder to all those who may be considering the current TMF's....the edam, mayo and bacofoil
Best to buy on separate receipts as not all the claims are internet based.
For those that are postal based, check what the terms and conditions are regarding postage...not all refund postage (thats one of the main reasons I also stopped doing them....)
and check how the purchase price is returned to you....cash or cheque is always welcome but occasionally its refunded in vouchers against future purchases.
lesson over.....enjoy TMF's at your leisure.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

It does say pack but I would think a ball is a pack.
Organised groups ?
Organised groups ...? We are safe on that one then, as many of the Elite wouldn't count ourselves as organised.

Edam cheese
This is in one of the questions it asks when you send for your refund...You pick your answer from the drop down box. As you can see it mentions the ball.
