... so are we all just chancing it with 1stops and will then argue if thecrefit does not appear?
It seems a lottery whether you get the email or not (and yes i have not been using contactless).
Also told my local take away does not accept Amex despite it being listed - to say Amex claim to have checked and only included the firms that replied is nonsense!

No one stops near me:o unlucky today. 2 of the pharmacies closed early and the only other shop I wanted to visit has a sign on the window to say that their card machine wasn't working. Think they saw me coming;):rotfl:To do is to be. Rousseau

We have been playing small shops all day.
I rung the butchers yesterday and I asked them to make me an order up of £10 of chicken breasts all in their own bags so these were all ready for when I went in.
Then we went to the deli and got £10 of sausages - these chicken breast and the sausages were frozen down as soon as we got home
Then as we were half way there we went to a nursery which also had a butchers counter and there I asked for £10 of belly pork strips. When I came to pay for them though, even though it took my pin the payment was declined so I abandoned the shop - email sent to Amex and fingers crossed for £5 in compensation.
So then we went home to regroup before setting off again to another farm shop, this was one we had never been to before, didn't even know it was there even though it was only 5 miles away, very pretty shop which now has a housing estate built around it. There we managed to get OHs £10 of belly pork strips - OH extremely happy about this
This little village, small town now really also has an Asda so I got the £1 Presidents butter using my small wombled APGs
I then realised that we were in the wrong place for One Stop so we set off again across country - 2 packs of Andrex and 2 Loyd Grossman pasta jars total £10 - thank you the OPs from yesterday
Then we finished off at Waitrose - got the ice cream, newspapers and lovely free coffee - and discovered a free car park
Which email are you using with Amex please? Or the Amex account area? Just wondering how best to contact them with Barclaycard Amex.
Thanks

We are just about to pick up our elder son for me the station. Younger son will be picked up at 10pm.....excited to see them both :j
You can't beat a train station to stir the emotions:)Just make them the way my mum did. Add 15-20% of sage and onion stuffing (made up first) to the sausagemeat and mix together well. Mum made them that way to make the meat 'stretch' as funds were very limited when we were growing up. When finances improved a bit so that she didn't have to stretch the meat, everyone said that they preferred the old way.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
They sound delicious MKS. It's a bit of a tradition for me too. I make them on Christmas Eve. My favourite is sausage meat, sun dried tomatoes and herbs:)To do is to be. Rousseau

For anyone in northeast, Asd@ B@ldon has the walnuts for 50p per bag. Dates are July 17. They also had 300g bags of salted almonds for 50p - dates Jan 17 & brazil nuts with shells on for 50p a net. All in fruit isles n different stands. There were also some gift bags of smoked nuts, chocolate nuts and mixed fruit & nuts for 75p - bags quite small but I got 1 of each for OH.

Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
