Does anyone know what hotels are included in the 'secret hotels' on last minute?
I'm trying to sort a double room in Jan to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary(and we're on a bit of a budget!!) but there is one described as ' This modern 4-star hotel sits in the trendy West End, a short walk from Fulham Broadway Tube Station and close to Chelsea Football Club. The hotel has three restaurants, a sports bar and lounge, 24-hour room service, and free Wi-Fi throughout. Each modern room features a satellite TV, tea/coffee making facilities and an en-suite marble bathroom.' Its only £159 for the 2 nights.

    Any ideas??

I love a good puzzle, I am wondering if its this one

    and then I found this

    Advice please.

I've just had a sort through the chest freezer and the all butter shortcrust pastry I was going to use for my sausage rolls is dated 2013.

Do you think this will be OK to use, or shall I bin it and buy new? I don't want to spend ages making them and then the pastry taste yuk!

I've already thrown out the other pastry which was dated 2010:eek:

Defrost then cut off small piece and cook. If it tastes ok you're good to go.

    Tenth Anniversary
Good afternoon, damo I would agree with bubbs , always puff pastry for sausage rolls, you could use the shortcrust for a flan base, I would blind bake it and taste if your concerned with its age🙂

  • CoS miss me, apparently, so I got free mince pies... any own brand, from any retailer.

    Nice.

Nipped in to Superdrug earlier to see if any brollies, no butterfly ones, but lots of striped ones. I see on HUKD some people are finding the striped ones are 90p also, I might have another look in the next day or so as passing. They'd be really good for teacher gifts if there was more of a range - otherwise the staffroom would be full of identical umbrellas!

Also just checked MS and the 20% off sausages can be used multiple times in the 6 days, ditto the jewellery. Looked at the drones, but think DGS is a little young yet.

Thanks everyone. I must admit thinking about it I've always used puff in the past. I'll buy some new and test the old pastry prior to using for something else. I don't normally pay any attention to BB dates but I know that frozen things can acquire strange tastes after a long length of time in the freezer.

Apparently if you google the description it finds that description linked to the hotel.
