If you have had 11 failed shops then I would put a seperate complaint for each one - go via the contact section top right

I did my first shop small today, email arrived straight away and I will check the account tommorow to see if its updated.
We also went to a gift shop on the list - shop was totally overwhelming, bursting with endless ammoubts of stuff so we came out with nothing, I could not be doing with it ...

Thanks I will do that. OH was chuntering at all the shops not working, whilst I was smiling sweetly.... he now thinks I am psychopath!

One gift shop I went to agreed to split the £20 for the item I liked into 2 x £10... bargain x

I agree. Not a lot near me, bar takeaways and restaurants, though my normal hairdresser is on the list which is a real bonus.

My PO is not even showing as a pending transaction and I shopped there on Thursday!

I also did my PO shop on a Thursday but it did not show until the following Monday so don't schedule the panic until at least Wednesday :)
Ive got a post office on my small shops list but its about 20 mins away so 40 min round trip and nothing else in the same direction. I am wondering if its worth while ringing them or is that s bit weird?

also I am wondering who is local to me - Staffs, Cheshire and Shrops. I would swap info on my non working venue for similar info but I think red fox would put me on the naughty step again :)

When I was at school I had a lovely pen pal in Canada. Over the years we lost touch. This morning I found her on Facebook and sent her a message. She has just replied! Beyond excited :j :j :j

Hadn't realised it was on. Thank you. But all the ironing is done and I need to do cards, so will have to give it a miss. Does Channel 4 do catch up please?

It does, but films are not normally included.

  • I actual understand your description of a and e..... miracle worker x

    i.e. push - affect. fall - effect.

Who do you e-mail for the refused shops... I managed to drag OH out, and we went to 12.... only 1 doable.

I am in Nottingham tomorrow for 2 days, so if there are shops that are working can someone let me know thanks x

Hi SSM I rang the number on the back of the card, options 1 and 1 I think but dont hold me to that. I did actually ring the other day about the three refused amex shops and the guy I spoke to said I would have £10 credit for them even though there were three but they didnt appear on my account, so when I ran again I told, this time a lady, what the guy had said and she immediately said I was not actually entitled to any credit for them, but after going through names addresses etc of each one - 5 by now in total she said this time I will give you £25 for these shops but in future amex will want to see receipts as proof of purchase. I said OK by me, thanks very much.

I am hoping that they are updating their list on the back of the information that we are providing to them. It will probably be the most cost effective way of them being up to date!.

The rain had adversely affected my wombles. Putting them on the radiator has had a beneficial effect :D

But don't leave them too long or else the heat will have an adverse effect!!

This is where we went today for my first Amex small shop - if you are heading north up the M6 get off at Sandbach, only 10 mins off the junction
    - the website does not say much but it is vast and has a fully equipped gift shop and it would be impossible not to find something useful for £10

    http://www.wheelockhallfarm.co.uk/

First thing we saw was the coal we use and bags were £9.99 and then OH saw bags of logs for £5.99 so we got 2 log bags :) The email came in straight away
