ASDA Fishmonger's Selection Cooked Mussels in White Wine Sauce (500g)£3.00 £2.00:eek: But the M price on these is much more expensive than Mussels bought from the counter (in M).

The Mussels in White Wine Sauce have gone back to £2 in M so I am putting them back on. The Mussels in Garlic Butter Sauce were my alternative suggestion when the White Wine version was £3 in M last time. Garlic Butter were £2 last week. I think they are now £3, although there are still some packs with £2 flash on them that I suspect will probably now scan at £3. The counter mussels still work out cheaper (than the ones now in White Wine) - counter mussels were £2 per Kg. last week. Yesterday they were £2.96 per Kg. with, yes you've guessed (whilst I am now into an obsession over this), a higher price crossed out on the sign on the fish counter:(.

The big (12.5Kg) bag of Unwashed Potatoes have increased in price - to the highest I've ever seen: £5!:eek: Even at that, they still work out cheaper than 2.5Kg White Potatoes at £1.25:eek:. I'm glad I bought some Unwashed Potatoes previously - I got them at half price from their £4 price as they were on their BB date. We didn't actually need any potatoes and had already got some at the time. However, they keep for ages in the fridge so, even after their BB, and after we'd then used the ones we already had, I transferred the pack that was technically unnecessary at the time I bought it into the fridge and we have lived off that ever since:T. I would have had to buy, and rebuy, several bags of 'ordinary' (2.5Kg/5Kg) potatoes in the meantime had we not got this. It's possible someone could find whoopsies of the Unwashed Potatoes around, such as bags on their last date like I found (when we didn't need them but we sure have in the last few weeks and would not have had any potatoes at the price I got if I'd not bought them when unnecessary). However, I suspect the whoopsies - even if you get as good as 'half price' - will be a little more expensive now as the general price has gone up:(. Though they will still beat the prices of other potatoes!

It can take 5 working days for the £5 to hit your account so it will be interesting to see how long it really takes - my post office one went on in 3 days but no email

£5 amex statement credit showing for Saturday's Chinese :) Fish & chip shop and Thai takeaway are also on the list so we'll probably have one of those this weekend.
Off to the PO with my amex in hand tomorrow I think.

I'll try to keep an eye on my Amex card to see how long it takes to be credited. Sounds like it might be a couple of working days.

Hi all, just a quick question about the blippar comp - does it make any difference to your chances of winning if you select over/under 16? Thanks :)

Yes ... it reduces your chances to zero as if you tick 16 as you have to be 16 to enter?

  • Just getting a few bits in Sainsbobs tomo with GJ cash back

Any flavour original source shower gel will work out at 30p after CB
Ecover Fabric Conditioner Amongst The Flowers 750ml (21 washes) will work out at 70p after CB (I know some of you got the mocs from the recent IHE so even cheaper :))

Dreamies Any flavour (including squirrel for Oz) 60g will work out at 70p after CB. Not a huge saving, but I'm buying them for Stanley Boy's stocking anyway

Thanks. I have been selecting over 16 but have failed to win anything, was wondering if I was doing something wrong, but it is clearly just bad luck :)

Boux Avenue are offering 2 pairs of pyjama s just ladies I presume but maybe wrong for £20. Bearing in mind the normal price for these is £34 a pair  also free delivery, £1.80 back from Quidco and they wrap them free for you . probably only the one box for the two but still. You need a code of course but think it's on their opening page 😀

Thanks for this Em, I thought I would get DS1 girlfriend some. Apparently something British is the order of the day.... so through fleecy pjs.... but I cannot get the code to work.... probably a good thing! :D:D:D:D

Not too bad, I've been allowed 15 minutes sitting up twice a day and a 45 minute break at teatime yippeeeeee, well, apart from this morning when the jailor dashed off out.

I'm not hallucinating any more, no strange scary dreams :rotfl: I thought I was having a nightmare the other night though. I opened my eyes and it was the jailor  :rotfl: :rotfl:

It is so good to see your posts - they reflect how well you are doing.

I love the term jailor.... I may use it with OH (better than the words I have been using recently........ I am hormonal and did not want to do Christmas.... he is male and wants to do it (meaning he wants me to do it).... You would be proud as I have not used the c word to him, I have come close but I have managed to reframe myself!!)

If you can find the tariff they offered here
    https://www.scottishpower.co.uk/gas-and-electricity/tariffs/
click on the find out more bit...and you should be able to see the t&c's which hopefully will answer your questions...particularly the bit about moving...hth

Thanks for this - does seem I won't be liable as he said but your link also gave me the opportunity to compare their new tariff against the one I was switching to. Unfortunately it worked out that I would save the princely sum of 60p instead of the £16 a month he suggested. So on that basis - Scottish Power you're fired :rotfl:
