I have hidden my best muesli bars and chocolate and I am going to have to hide my apples as well, some things you just don't share - I am steering him towards things that he can eat unrestricted, things that need eating up but the cupboards will be bare by the end of the month.
Last week he was at his mates all week, came back on Friday so a weekend of mass catering again is all a bit if a shock
Ds2 hides stuff in draws you would never expect to find them in the kitchen :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Afternoon all - just had my first homemade Welsh Cake absolutely delicious. Need a tired and tested recipe so I can attempt them myself. Can't ask the person who gave them to me as she is travelling around India now.
Ooh ellimoo that was a result. :T0 -
Anyway to change the subject we have beef casserole and sage dumplings in the oven followed by home grown organic rhubarb and ginger crumble
- yes check the calendar its July 4th and not December 4th :rotfl:
Did a freezer stock take this morning which is not a big job, we downsized to a freezer with drawers which turned out to had even less space than our previous one but as our numbers dismissed it did actually turn out to be the correct size for us 2
And now we are three again so it was a bit of a shock to realise how little is in the freezer now, I reckon about a weeks worth of meals - we rarely get yellow labels.
Errant son has a huge appetite so keeping him fed is going to be a challenge. He had Alpen cereal and 4 pancakes with golden syrup this morning followed by chicken salad and bacon sandwiches 2 hours later, hence the beef casserole in July
We are having a T Indian Takeaway, followed by strawberry and rhubarb cobbler. Was rather hoping it would be salad followed by summer pudding by now:eek:Ok according to our illustrious governments NHS bmi website errant son is bang in the middle 22.2 bmi - perfect for his age and height
So at least he is not starved :rotfl:
His metabolic rate must be huge, I never know how he manages to carry enough food with him on expeditions
I used to have a metabolism like that, would eat and eat, if I ate too much I would lose weight:eek: Ahhhh, those were the daysWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Normally Boots stuff is so well packed with plastic air baggie things and padding. This lot was just rolling around in an oversized box.
One of my orders was the same.
I rang up H/O and complained.
They refunded all the bottles that had leakage over them and also added points as compensation. :TN1LDA0
