Good morning all, long time no see :)

I bought some buildabears yesterday in the bogof as that's what grandkids are getting for Xmas. Got 2 bears with sounds and a £10 giftcard for £36 instead of £50 odd. Was trying to get the £199 dell laptop but Website was terrible :(

I'm sure someone on here was after a hotwheels advent calender, can't for the life of me remember who. I just ordered one for £10 from tesco c&c, used £1.50 Clubcard vouchers that were on an old account so got it for £8.50. Dd2 has a nail varnish one that we got from argos for a tenner and ds2 said he wants a Thomas tank chocolate one so will get him that as well lol, felt mean just getting him a £1 one when we spent so much on Dd2.

Dh after a whisky advent :rotfl:

Hope to be nipping in a bit more often as need to get back to being mse :o

    mORNING ALL.

I couldnt use quidco yesterday for my purchase as it was down, so had to use tcb. To be fair, it has tracked already, but I am starting to prefer quid over tcb.

Check the rates if possible and if QC would have been higher cashback, submit a higher cashback guarantee claim. Worth trying.

    Sim Free iPhone 5S Refurbished 16GB £159.95 @ Argos
    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sim-free-iphone-5s-refurbished-16gb-159-95-argos-2553780

Thank you - I had looked at that Argos deal but there are mixed reviews about the quality - some are clearly second hand rather than refurbished. 02 refutes are as good as new so I will just wait until the prices are better.

    I missed 1pad mini 2 on offer in JL and T at £189 :(.

afternoon all - I was lurking and AWOL until yesterday afternoon but i dont think I missed anything - everyone was either shopping or avoiding shopping and hiding from their computers and the zillions of Black Friday emails - I did a message rule so all of mine sent straight into the deleted bin :)

We have really thick solid fog which seems to be getting worse and worse. Quite often these fogs are local and 10 mikes either side of us its brilliant sunshine but OH says this is an all over version

So people living morth of us in the illustrious hights of Stoke - your weather is always worse than ours so are you under fog.
People of Chester, Wrexham and noryh Wales ate you fog bound?
People south of us in Brum are you blanketted?
I know south goes further than Birmingham but thats all i need to know :rotfl:

OH had a hospital app this morning, total waste of time but it stopped us going to Chester - which it looks like we would have not gone to anyway because of the weather conditions
I had 2 parcels to send this morning, then we dropped off 2 bags of various things for the food bank and homeless shelter collections, did the Mr T list, small bit of shopping in Morribobs and then turned for home.

Morribobs - went through the self scan and some kind person had left a till spit - 10p off petrol :j
Not sure what had generated this but it will save about £3 :D

Mr !!!!!! - no Angel Delight pots
They are in the dessert section next to normal Angel Delights aren't they? I did check the chilled fridge as well just incase.
These were destined for the food bank trolley anyway but I did get the optiwells anyway

Just written up my Sada list - not printed off my APGs yet - I noticed the Colgate on the COS list which was £2 last week, 3 tubes you are allowed with £1.50 cashback each - missed getting it last week.

This week though its £3.80 but £2 in Tosssers - has anyone got it since the price change and can confirm this - mysupermarket lies to me frequently

It has always been £1.50 CoS on my family accounts not £2 cashback :(. The specific variety (Pro Relief Extra Strength or Extra Strength Whitening) is £3 on offer in A, £4.50 T and S, £4.47 in M.

    from MSE money tips

If you drive and shop at Morrisons, its Black Friday fuel promotion is a banger. Prices may be up this year, but this trick takes the cost of unleaded at Morrisons forecourts to under £1/litre (and diesel a little over). You get 10p off per litre of petrol and diesel for every £50 you spend in store until Sun 27 Nov.
