So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

    £32 then I reckon.

Also remember to avoid putting zero-rated items in your basket.

And watch out for lower rate VAT - eg a child's car seat will only attract VAT at 5%.

We will all be VAT experts at this rate - all thanks to QCo.:rotfl:

why do you have to avoid zero rated items?

You could spend £25 on zero rated items and qualify which would make it a more attractive deal
Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen

Join this programme and choose which products you would like to try for FREE or at a discount. Choose one coupon between:

    Christmas desserts, puddings and cakes
    Christmas party food range
    Cheeses and cheeseboards

Desserts, puddings and cake for me :D

Thanks for this, the email hadn't come through to me yet but I logged on and got my spot reserved! Just wish it had said which of the options was the £5 voucher and which was the £6, it would have made it easier to pick. They gave loads of Finest examples of things to buy, but I didn't see it state anywhere that it had to be Finest, so hopefully their standard party range will be included too. They had a delicious white chocolate bombe in the freezer section last year, my mouth is watering at the thought of it, and that's why I'll be making freezer space just as soon as I find somewhere for all those gammons.

I wonder whether getting a temporary freezer just for gammon and discounted Christmas food is acceptably MSE :D

about 3 or 4 years ago I was in Boots and they were demonstrating epilator so I volunteered my services, fabulous results. I then went on to treat myself to one - mine is still going, nothing to ever go wrong. I used to go for waxing so this has paid for itself over and over again.
I have zero pain threshold but this does not bother me at all. Eldest child though who has delicate blonde bum-fluff on her legs cant tolerate them and still shaves

The new ones have a fancy see in the dark light - I have no idea why you would be doing your legs in the dark

same here. no email but I thought I'd log on anyway and there was the invite. I've gone for cheese - it might be more exciting then it sounds and we do go through quite a lot.
I think Finest desserts might be wasted on OH, he gets very over excited when Vienetta is on offer for £1 :D
