Well we tried some things from the free selection boxes last night - OH had a crunchie and I had the chocolate buttons - what a crashing disappointment - tiny packs and indifferent tasting chocolate.
So the rest OH will be eating himself as I wont be.
unless the finger of fudge is worth eating ...

We have the 2 CDM bars - these will be emergency misery chocolate for when you dont care what you are eating :D

I am still going in search of the 50p chocolate oranges later :D

Just have to find a way of dropping it into conversation now on the rare occasions any of our offspring ring for a chat that I am now only eat Lindt, green and blacks or hotel chocolate or Tosco finest bar chocolate so if they want to bring a guilt present with them that is the choice :rotfl:

These were all piled up by the ss section in my store and not on the shelves.

    Good morning Elite :hello:

    and

    Good morning Sunday :j

Well, I've just made it. Had a lay in as decided weather too bad to venture out, rain has momentarily stopped and the wind is starting to gain speed

The only place I was going to go to was The Works to collect my brightly coloured tissue paper. I need two baskets of some description so I can make two pamper hampers, these are little extras for the girlfriends of my dear boys, hence the tissue paper to scrunch up as a base.

I've been collecting small sample phials of fragrances from Debenhams and Boots for a few months, plus what I've managed to get online. Sachets of lotions, potions and powders plus the occasional mascarras and other nice small freebies add to this selection a Chocolate Orange Egg. I think I'd like to receive one myself actualy, a pamper hamper that is, I've already eaten a chocolate egg last night  :rotfl: :rotfl:

I wonder how many of you are going out shopping today? Please wrap up warm and try to stay dry. Watch out got any wet leaves too as I see marmite has taken a tumble :(. I hope you are ok, sit down and have a cup of tea dear boy

Loved Strictly last night but I do wish they wouldn't let professionally trained dancers take part, that makes me  As for XFactor, a rather dreary show overall in my opinion, the best of the lot was young Matt, he's my winner :D

Right, I'll love you and leave you, coffee for me and a read, lunch at 1pm as is the norm here. See you later xx

    Morning peeps.

    So cold.......
Just discovered I qualify for meercat movies from when I changed car insurance and was looking for a quote.
Does anyone do this please and is it straight forward?

Don't forget the T/Dettol cinema vouchers expire this week as well.

I've got it, the app I had to download onto iPad as it wouldn't go on phone. All you do is click on app 'get code'. The code comes up and I just take iPad with me to cinema. Show it to them so they dab scan it when you ask fir tickets and that's it.

    Morning all!

I have a money saving quandary, any advice gratefully received!

I have been told by the butcher in town that his fresh, free-range local turkeys will be £7 a kilo and I can preorder (with any other extras if wanted) and pick up a day or so before Christmas. However, I think I got one from Lidl last year which was really nice and cheaper, but very unlikely to be free range or local.

Should I save the money and go to Lidl, taking the risk they won't have exactly what I want as I can't preorder, or should I spend the extra and support local business, knowing it'll cost me up to a tenner more? Lidl haven't released their prices yet but it's normally about £25, from previous experience. I daren't risk the Christmas Eve RTC rush for it as our T is quite small and we want to see friends in the morning and family will be arriving mid-afternoon.

Also, if anyone sees a Chromecast (normal, not the audio version) for less than £20, then please let me know as I'll be returning this morning's purchase!

Just need a brushed cotton nightie for an 80-year old and some strong, hard-wearing white men's sports socks, then that'll be another 2 people off the tick list :D

This is a difficult one. Me personally I would pre order turkey and extras from the local butcher and you can pick up as at your leisure, it will save you so much time and effort and you wont have to think about it and you will be spending your money locally and supporting a local business.
Christmas this year is on a weekend so quite a few people will be working right up until the Thursday or Friday so the big stores in the few days before will be manic - avoid at all costs.
That extra £10 you spend - well you could easily make that up, maybe not buy that bottle of booze that wont get finished and will hang around all year, or don't buy the extra just incase chocolates - think what was still hanging around in January last year and don't buy it again.

We had a house full last year so I bought a few extras so I had enough to cater for all tastes including numerous bottles of lovely cordial. We finally got around to tasting the lovely Bottlegreen ginger cordial in July :rotfl:

Depends partly on how tall you are - I hover between 12 and 14 and am 5'4 and I need a medium from m&s to be comfortable.

I've done this for a couple of years but have only bought a £2/£3 one day travel insurance for an 18 year old! Just had to send the details through to compare the market and it was sorted in a couple of days. Just google it and follow the links. It's better than the old orange Wednesday's as it works Tuesday and Wednesday.
