In my own quiet way I do my best. Apparently my use of pensions to maximise tax credits is frowned upon in some quarters so best to keep that one fairly quiet. Next year I may reduce my hours to 24 per week because of the annual pension limits - working 3 days a week rather than 5 may cost me a net 4k. Retirement at 57 may not be impossibleI think....0 -
Afternoon
What an awful day heavy snow all day and freezing cold.
Had to walk home all up brews and cars driving passed wetting me with slush and snow wetting me so wasn't an happy tweets when got home.
mhoc I have 2 lovely wooly jumpers I bought in Mr S years ago both different styles and every winter when they reappear I always wish I had bought both in the different colours at the time they have been washed and stuck in drier and still keep me lovely and warm
Mum rang and bro  also rang ambulance bringing her home at 4pm. Bro said it was his last day before he back at work he would go see mum when she home was I going. Told him no I wasn't moving again today
Mum said she would ring when home not heard yet.
I don't blame you not going out again and am pleased you went ahead to get them to bring mum home. Why your bro wouldn't do it, I'd have throttled him
Put your feet up, there's plenty of time for going out tomorrow, unless you're snowed in :rotfl: :rotfl:uglybugball wrote: »Just been to Morries for the fish ,selection box , mccain roasts, icecream and Reeses.
Came back with none of them, they don't even bother putting an out of stock label on the shelf they just fill the space with a similar item ,I wonder how many customers get overcharged.
Wish I had stayed in now.
I went to Mr T this morning, got Selection Box, and .........................
That was it. Reece's, they do have bags of but not pieces, they are called something else grrrrrr, I love that stuff
I'm giving up looking anymore and just accept the fact that my store do not stock it :cool:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
Got my Amex card in the post this afternoon, will have a proper look, and make a list of shops over the weekendI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

I bet they don't have the Taylors coffee either:mad:
When the free schwartz herb mills were on COS i found the rep chap filling up in Morribobs and he said the store had not made the required space for the new items so it was going to be after the expiry date - so I am expecting the same with the Taylors coffee, they will appear too late ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Ive gone over my list several times as I keep finding new ones to add to my own short list.
Last time I found a builders merchant so I will be getting some nice decorative stone to go on top of potted up plants
We also have to do a final double check on December 3rd and afterwards incase some of our short listed items have been delisted or new ones added on“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
