Yeah, she was saying she was only choosing to loose 'him' because 'he' had been in the bottom so many times. I dont think Sam has been in the bottom 2 has she?

Even the camera was looking at the lad when the name was said.

Yes i heard her say it but thought she changed her mind to send to deadlock, no Sam not been in bottom 2 i dont think

I hate having people in my landscape images. I quite like doing candid portraits though - these have been some of my best wedding shots - long lens and far enough away that they don't feel the urge to pose for you.:D

Long shot (no pun intended), your RL name isn't Tracey, is it?
  • Decided I can't be doing with binge watching catch ups of soaps etc when we get back from hols, particularly with Emmerdale as it's on every weeknight so have to wait until the weekend to catch up :rotfl:. Instead I've just signed up to ITVEssentials, €3.99 for up to 14 days viewing whilst your abroad, and that's for up to 5 devices.

I know our hotel room has all the English channels but it's still restrictive as to when you can watch the programmes. Sitting by the pool catching up with Corrie sounds good to me :D I think less than a fiver is excellent value.

I've added the app to my devices and just grabbed DH's phone and iPad and said I need to put an app on :rotfl: I'll let you know how I get on

For what it's worth :o, I would use the second photo. Handle put back a bit so that the 'user' could reach it comfortably and remove the spoon. Depends what the photo is 'intended' to be used for. For me, the cakes complement the hot chocolate and should therefore be on a plain white plate.
Are you on talkphotography? There are a lot of helpful people on there with their critique.x

Thanks, always good to get different view points. :) I don't have a white plate :o well I do, but it's too big and wouldn't look right in this scene.

What's good about all the points that have been made is that some come from people who are neutral (no in depth knowledge of photography) and they in most cases will be the consumer of such images. So it's good to log the points made in my blog from them. They'll get critiqued tomorrow by my peers and tutor. Not on talkphotography.

Hoping i'll be able to get a shoot in tomorrow morning to take in the points made before going to uni :)
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

please can I ask has anyone used Dunlemn mill for curtains and if so what was your experience please?

I feel sure there must be an Elite curtain expert

All other rooms in the house have blinds, its just the living room that has curtains and as they are literally decades old and floral its time to get them replaced. I think when we had the new wing built i just went to a curtain maker on the market and had them made but i am clueless and very daunted.

It is not going to be easy as there are 4 windows. There is a big patio doors and a wide oblong front window and both of these have wooden poles with wooden curtain rings. There are also 2 side windows long and narrow with pencil pleats - i think that's what they are called.
I have acquired maroon cushions and a maroon side lamp so that seems to be the colour (and lined )

Ive read the guide on Dunlemn milll website on measuring so thats my job tomorrow. Not sure if i just measure windows or the current curtains or both - or is that a stupid question.
They must be standard sized patio and windows anyway so ready made ones hopefully
