Good morning all...
I am still feeling to ill to face the world...the cold, cough and general ache is just dragging me down beyond belief.
I can feel the pain of the coughing slowly sinking onto my chest and being asthmatic is not helping....I fear that if I dont get on top of this soon I could end up with it all winter.
Sadly each time I contact the GP I am told that I need to be leaving it 3 weeks before they will let me have an appointment to see if it clears of it's own accord and to keep taking my asthma inhalers as directed!!!
No energy to argue differently with them or anyone else for that matter at the moment......
I even had to send OH out to the corner shop for bread and milk at vastly inflated prices.....
Tell the gp a little white lie and say you have been unwell and taking your inhalers for a couple of weeks or more and you are feeling worse not better...I know you should tell the truth but if this is a regular autumn/winter ailment and you know it is going to worsen surely it is more cost effective (It all boils down to money) to perhaps been seen sooner rather than later....or if you have the energy go and see your pharmacist they are excellent round here and can perhaps give you something or advise you ..they have their own consultation room within the chemist so you can see them in private..x
When I was little mum gave us honey and vinegar on a spoon. we sucked the vinegar thru the honey and kept topping the vinegar up until the honey had gone..its suppose to help break up a cough!!0 -
