OH is back - not sacked, de moted, made redundant or on gardening leave and all is right with the world.
There was some discussion at the meeting with Big Boss this afteroon on the subject of 'bringing the company into disrepute' - and OHs FB page was mentioned.
He has had to take off his profile page the line that says where he works.
He also had a header photo which they wanted removing - it has been there since autumn 2015 and yes it was taken on works premises but it was actually a photo taken in the 1980s  - no statue of limitations though
Management also complained about another photo - actually it was one posted up from 3 years ago - he stopped bothering with his FB page long ago.
OH has been taking work related photos for 40 years mainly to do with driver training and operations standards and safety issues, all to do with his role and his photos have been regularly included in training documents (not with his name on obviously) If photos are needed its OH they ask for first.
So what we think has gone on is that there has been a spate of lesser grades putting all sorts on their FB pages - yes that as well - for which there has been disciplinarys. The unions want to show parity with all grades so they needed to find a scapegoat in OHs grade so OH was it. All they could find though was some very ancient photos - a bit of a joke really seeing as OHs photos are regularly featured in training manuals
And OH has maybe 12 people on his friends list of which half are family members
so all a bit of a storm in a teacup and normal service will be resumed soon
One of the guys in work just had our line manager screeching at him in the car park because of a photo on facebook. So unprofessional and if the company was actually ok to work for and could make an actual decision they wouldn't have to be so possessive of what ppl post. We already had a few whistleblower's over certain things. I promptly went through my facebook and blocked any manager name I could think and my page is already private.I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. OH keeps saying there is no rush, he's not the one that uses it most of the time, he is not the one that has to struggle. If it had been up to me it would have been done months ago.:D
I know how long it took you to find a chest freezer that was A the right size and most importantly B at the right price ;):rotfl:Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Your student number is your email add you signed up with for the course. If you can't find the course on NUS click other then other. Just put in start date etc.
I added the NUS app to my phone and logged in, my NUS no comes up on the app, handy if you want to copy and paste to a website for your discount, also lists many places you can get your NUS discount
Thank you so much for this. I am very grateful and it worked! I've signed up for a photoshop course which will be very useful I think. I only did the 1 year card because it was the international student card bit I was most interested in. I may, of course, come to regret this, but was not impressed by the list of discounted places.
How long did yours take to come please, Hampy? I've just downloaded the app and am delighted the number is already there. I'm on holiday soon and this may be very useful indeed! Thanks for the tip.0 -

I don't imagine anyone knows what needs to be bought in A to get this to come up on the APG.
https://groceries.asda.com/product/automatic-units-and-refills/air-wick-freshmatic-max-refill-mulled-wine-crackling-fire-twin-pack/910002201135
The description is Mulled Wine & Cracking Fire (which I will refer to as "Mulled Wine") but it shows a picture of Spiced Orange & Cinnamon (and I also notice it has that product name lower down in the text). Spiced Orange & Cinnamon, which is not on m.com, is £3.50 in M but Mulled Wine is £6. However, I suspect if buying Spiced Orange & Cinnamon comes up as Mulled Wine on the APG, since the APG goes by a.com descriptions, the price collectors will have that wrongly linked to Mulled Wine in M meaning that buying Spiced Orange & Cinnamon will compare against £6 in M on the wrong product rather than the real £3.50 M price:(.
It does make a difference. Note that I am using msm's transcription of a.com's description on the list but that the product I am referring to is Spiced Orange & Cinnamon as per the pictures - even though, for the above reasons, it might not work. No idea what buying Mulled Wine would do, in times such as these:rotfl: - probably compare against Mulled Wine at £6 so, either way, we lost!0 -
Mine was - I then refreshed the home screen and it went to Closed at the bottom of the list - apparently only transactions completed by Tuesday 25/10/16 2.42pm according to the revised Purchase dates.
This has saved me a trip to T - a shame that they cannot get their act together and be realistic with the advertising - it said 7 days to claim, 2 per item so what did they expect when people jump on it?
I know that there isn't an endless amount but why advertise in that way if the budget won't sustain it? They could have offered just 1 of each item, or 1 item of the 11 - it is not difficult but they have messed up a few of these. MSL were the same, no plan on how to run an offer leading to disappointed customers.
AnonMine is still showing valid for 6 days, up to 2 products but email said you could try one of each of 11 varieties- confusingMy little dish offers say ends in 19 hours x
Mine says 18 hours so clearly I need to go shopping! I emailed them (thinking I would have days to do this) and they said we can have two of each flavour.
It has been very quick catching up today! Is everyone OK or just doing exciting things?!0
