Did a Muller shop 11+1 earlier - apg £2.91. Don't like the Lights due to the sweetener, but the ordinary yoghurt in the corner ones is OK as it contains sugar. My only problem is what to do with the actual corner bits - way too sweet for me.
I had 3 x 2 of the P&G cinema tickets. DS2 said he was taking GF to the cinema and could he have the tickets. Being kind and lovely, I said of course. Found out this morning that they went with a friend and his sister... who jumped at the chance of free cinema!

It's pretty grim isn't it:o
at least with premium bonds it feels safe and there is an element of having fun with your cash.
if you have £1000 even in the best of savings accounts you might get £10 in interest after a year in an ISa paying 1% - not a life changing ammount
if you instead got £1000 in bonds and win one £25 in two years then you are still ahead and at least you have the fun of anticipation.
If you dont win anything then at least you still have your original £1000
Premium bonds were something i never considered before but now i think they need some thought.
(i know there are still accounts paying 2% or 3% and 5% but the advance savers on the group are all over these like a rash, its the longer term cash saved in ISAs, often for years and years which are now paying 1% or less thats now giving cause for concern)“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I didn't get any Elvis questions in the quiz but I often get American sport ones which I have to guess - usually wrong. When it's Literature I often seem to get two or three about Romeo and Juliet.
We have some premium bonds. DH has only ever had one win but I do quite well with mine. I won £100 this month. No guarantees but I do like the fun aspect of them.0 -

I know what you meanit would have seemed much better value if your DS and GF had been able to go to 3 different films.
In my case I knew who would be going and I purposely got the extra tickets to enable it.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0
