As far as being frugal goes, we have not spent, but we have eaten very well. In need of fruit and veg now and a few staples such as Worcestershire sauce and tomato puree, but if push came to shove we could live without those.

It's those Carrots! They don't compare and, if they did, with M at 44p, it would not be 1p!:):(:undecided.

I saw 1Kg Carrots at Aldi at 43p and therefore expected Lidl to be the same. However, yesterday, I noticed Lidl still had them at 29p as they are on their offers, together with the Parsnips. As they are 'underpriced', and that's purely to get people to shop at Lidl and buy far more, cynical as I am, they will not be that price for long - I expect them to be exact 43p soon if they are not already. Meanwhile, I had the Eday Essentials Pears (that were 7 pack, like Lidl's 1Kg punnets at 59p that disappeared on me before) the other week - they were 39p in Aldi but I notice Aldi wasted very little time as they have now put the Eday Essentials ones up in price:mad:. With Lidl having been 59p, Aldi have no need to be cheaper than 59p - the standard range pears are 49p and I think they are now cheaper than the Essentials ones, but again purely because of the Super6 offer. I also notice the 5Kg potatoes now claim a price cut, having gone up in price and now come back down by a few pence - they were £1.99 for some time beforehand, probably for longer, so, yet another price increase!

Broccoli now comparing against M:D. However, hopeless as they are 41p for T so it wasn't needed. (We could just have used a T comp. on our own shops for the same.) It was needed here though, as I wouldn't have had the 1p result without it;):cool::rotfl::(:(:mad::mad::(:rotfl::rotfl:.

Cream Crackers back vs M as well:) - boo as I've done my own shop (we needed them) and bought a pack against T N/A, as I never stood any chance of doing a shop against S or W with the general prices on other items there:(. I did try and had a look - and came up with now best buying Birds Eye Arctic Roll in W due to a 3 for 2 offer - 3 for £2 - so that item will be coming off the M list.

It would have been better buying the JW Spreadables when they were 75p each in M - however, thankfully, M has put the price up so I get the 1p result. Wrong number of Fudge bought - M is 4 for 80p, don't know whether mbuy will be picked up, it should be.
