We always do a hamper style gift for DH's parents. Last year I got an actual wicker hamper from freecycle. DH stencilled his parents' initials on it and it looks dead posh.

I know what you mean. Have you seen this on Next? I found it whilst hunting through their Christmas range. It was £15 before! http://www.next.co.uk/style/st123569#420053

I received a £20 voucher for my birthday and I have no idea what to spend it on. To be honest Next is not my sort of shop, I don't think I've ever bought much in there before :o

Ooo, I have 2 or 3 of them from a BHS hamper cheap bargain about 2 years ago. Might slap them on the bay.

So, got for 7 and 6/7ths percent cheaper than Sains rather than 10%:wall:. And then doubtless some of that lost on items that were more than 10% cheaper than T.

Or in fact, still got for the full A shelf price as you never get given cash, instead it is a voucher that is spent at A so they get the money in any event!

From M on Wednesday, I think I ought to mention this as it's probably selling out fast from M: Nescafe Gold Blend 300g Refill is £4. I do not know what the chances of that working on the APG are - I'd say completely none at the time of posting as the system won't be updated. It's on £7 offer in A according to msm - I think A would need to go a little bit lower if they wanted to be 10% cheaper...

Meanwhile, the other Nescafe - the Nescafe Original at the straight 300g (the one that is also sold by A, as opposed to the 200g and 50% extra free product which is strictly non-comparable) - appears suddenly to be very thin on the ground now in M (unless it is just the stores I've visited). It was 'all over the place' at £4 on Monday, now (Wednesday) I haven't got it in as many stores and it's OOS in some of those now, whilst the 200g and 50% extra free at £4 is widespread:(.

The (frozen) Quorn Turkey Steaks (360g) have now gone down further on their RTC to 49p, although this is probably now after they have already long disappeared from many people's Ms. So it is now a product and price available in those residual few(?) stores where stock of them has been lingering on.

I do not know what chance the Warnicks White Vodka Liqueur (50cl) stands - I moved it to 'buy in M' from Avs M after Monday, after failing to find it in my set of stores. I was thinking it was another RTC item that had been ongoing for a few weeks in M, that maybe I picked up late because I didn't have a store with it until lately. It may therefore have gone out of many stores making it less likely the price collectors would have a store with it. However, I have found it in two stores on Wednesday. (I've also found the 200g Grill Mates in no few than three stores:eek:, after failing to have any store at all with them this time last week and having only one store with one version only on Monday. So, it really does just depend on what stores are being used.) I would maybe now give the Warnicks White a fifty-fifty chance - unfortunately, as it's £7 price for 50cl is of course £14 for 1L which works out better than the 1L alcohol bottles on £15 in M, except that, with APG, those that A has should be £13.50 net. - or pay £17 on most of them to A and they keep the extra as it has to be spent on items purchased from them - whichever way you view it. The Warnicks White would work out better than the 1L alcohols if it worked on the APG but, bought in M, the 1L alcohol bottles bought from A with APG should work out better as they stand a much better chance in my view. It woukd be great if we could get the Warnicks White comparing - unfortunately I think it's only fifty-fifty chance due to me not having it at all in the set of stores I used on Monday.

I have both the Parrot Bays (£5 M price on the SELs) back again now - it really does depend on which store is visited. I do not know whether the Bacardi Negra and Fuego are still at their lower RTC or whether they have gone back up a bit to £10 RTC as I now have a store with both - I've lost them altogether from many other places - and it's showing £10 RTC rather than £7. However, given that the price on the Marston's Pedigree multipack is showing £8 when it's showing £6 RTC in most other places, I have no hope whatsoever for the £10 price being correct. Which ought to mean the Bacardis are £7 each:), but I don't know!

I also think that some of the own label car accessory items - for example the M Car Polish, the M Glass Cleaner and M Wheel Cleaner - may be a store specific offer at £1. I am seeing £1.25 for the Glass Cleaner everywhere else that has it, which does not mean it is as it could be that every other store has failed to change its SEL. The Car Polish has scanned at £2:( in one other store (I had hoped to scan Glass Cleaner but it was my final store and they didn't have it) - I don't know if there is a different version available elsewhere - maybe a clearance version but the one store I saw with £1 SELs has those as being on £1 offer until into November. It could be a store-specific clearance.

But I can't say that every other store is right to be showing no offer - I had a couple of specific items (totally separate items) showing full price in five stores but the offer showing only in one store:rotfl: - they are the L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay Re-Balancing Shampoo (250ml) and ...Re-Balancing Conditioner (250ml) - given this, I do not know, since I did not scan them, whether M have withdrawn the offer early and the one store not yet changed its SEL - I don't know if the others had £2 but have now put £2.87 up or whether - which seems more likely to me but I don't know - all five of them have not put the offer SEL up yet. It could just be my stores were an unlucky set - they are showing £2 until 6th November online, but I don't know whether that is up-to-date, and I've got that end date in the one store. I think they are on offer, and I have them at £2 as clearly that one store says so but, if this was the APG, it would be getting full price for M. It just goes to show the point that, even if only one store shows an offer and I am not seeing that offer anywhere else, it does not mean the product isn't on offer. However, with the car accessory products, I now think they are probably are a store-specific clearance that I've picked up, as I'm not seeing that price anywhere else (...but that doesn't mean...) or unless they have a different version of the product, on another BC, as a clearance version, in the one store...

I continue to have the Kenco Sunlight Blend product showing £4.38 in most stores that have it. There were a couple of my stores that didn't have it - but I suspect they did before, have put the £2 RTC onto the shelf, sold the product out and the product and SEL have gone, so no use getting any £2 at all. It's likely the product will increasingly remain in stores that have failed to change the SEL, whilst those that do change it sell the product faster and then take the SEL away once it's gone - increasing the chance, sadly, of having the product only in stores with £4.38 SEL. Of course that helps people to find stock if they want to buy from M (at £2 price:eek:!) but, for APG, it most probably means a £4.38 M price. I did not find any £2 SEL at all just now and I've not gone to the lengths of scanning yet again as already checked on Monday and it was £2 - it could have gone back up to £4.38 (stores where it was £2 on Monday could have changed to £4.38 early in advance of it going back up) however I think it probably still is £2 but I now have constant £4.38 SEL (if APG has this, it gets £4.38). I had one £2 on Monday but, on my stores, it would have been overruled by incorrect £4.38 in more stores for me then.

The Kellogg's Avengers cereal may be in a slightly better position but only stand a fifty-fifty chance: I do have stores saying £1.40 but some are OOS and there were too many incorrect full price SELs around for my liking on Monday.

The Yorkshire Baking Co. Parkin Loaf Cakes 2 pack is now on an offer of £1 into November. I don't know why I mention this product. Not much else has changed in M. I will probably mention more about my Wednesday price collection a little later. For now, add the Caramel version of Monin syrup at £1 RTC to go alongside the Vanilla syrup version:rotfl:.

Caramel version?!? I didn't know there was a Caramel version! Someone, who may have just the Caramel version in their M, may have seen me putting Vanilla onto the list and wondered why! So, if you see me putting a different flavour onto the list...

There may be more than these two, for all I know, but they are the only two that I have so far found. I don't think the price collectors necessarily miss items that are in their stores, but they probably don't have them in their stores at all. I am, I suppose, a price collector (of sorts) and it wasn't that I have missed Caramel - namely that it was in a store but I didn't see it - for I assure you I very often see everything:eek: - instead the stores that have had Vanilla for me, two of them previously, neither has had Caramel and only now have I seen the £1 RTC SEL for the Caramel version too, as I just happen to have been to a store that has both. It was actually the small store:rotfl:, whilst going through five big stores neither were there at all! You could find it in a big store, where it hasn't sold out, it's just that I needed the small store from my set again in order to find it!:rotfl:

    I've lost this item.

[Strike]Gü After Noon Chocolate Ganache Mini Puds (3x45g)£1.50:eek:[/Strike] Unfortunately I have lost this product. I do not know whether it is £1.50 anymore. That's right - six stores were checked, twice as many as TBG, and the product not found. So, it might be a good TBG fail if anyone does have it anywhere in M still at £1.50.

The above note is from Monday. It's still not turned up in my further six completely different stores checked on Wednesday. I have now found a 3 pack Gu Cheesecake product, again that was only in the small store and in none of the big stores at all:rotfl:, but it is showing £2 and it may be that the Chocolate Ganache Mini Puds have gone up to £2 the same (assuming that the Cheesecake SEL that I've now seen is even right). However, I am unable to tell. Help! Does anyone have the Chocolate Ganache Puds in their M please and can tell me their price?:rotfl:

In fact, all I really need mention about Wednesday, since I've now spent time here amending and adding most things to this post:rotfl:, is that it feels more anomalous than normal - I think this is mainly because I happened to start with a store that has I think moved whole shelvings of products onto new shelves and, when they do that, they print off the SELs and the new SELs are all full price SELs with no offer SELs. There were whole lines of health & beauty items with no offers at all showing, which I 'knew' really to be wrong - however I did need to check them - I think this may be an autism thing - although I don't suggest that everyone with autism needs to do this - but the need to check things, even if really you "know" them to be correct, in order to make sure that they are correct - or maybe that's just a Savvy thing:rotfl: - but it did increase the items needing checking again (...and again) and, although little has changed, I now have six sides of paper this time compared to the four that I had on Monday, although most of that now is repetitions of items carried over from store to store.

The health & beauty section shouldn't be a widespread problem as I do have the offers showing in the other places. However, the Minions and Lightsaber lollies (and the Haagen Dazs Pralines) have now gone from the stores I've been to just now - I already thought that they would exist mainly, or only, in stores that did not have a SEL - and I have lost the Maxibon in stock this time, now only having an incorrect full price SEL for it. It will exist at £1 SEL elsewhere, even now, but - I reckon now is the time to say that that product, on APG, is now risky. It's again - I'm visiting more stores each time so losing things now more slowly (and changing my stores to pick them up again which I wasn't doing before) but it's like I was losing the RTC lollies a year or so ago and then eventually picked all of them up when I went round more and more stores. They were still all in M - but it took me about thirty stores to get ten of them back that I'd lost from my nearby stores - since the APG probably checks fewer stores, it'll probably run the risk of losing them and I can probably say the Maxibon ice cream now isn't as generally available in M as it was before and so stands a chance of being in none of the price collection stores. They may now have it as N/A, as indeed I now nearly am - on my six stores this time, I think that may be the same number as the APG - certainly in terms of stock I have none in these six now and just happened to have picked a store with a full price SEL:( because that store never changes the SELs on any of the items in the RTC part of its freezers! Or at least I maintain - maybe it does sometimes, but it just feels like it doesn't.

The Maxibon could still work, as they could have it at £1 in one of their stores (and not have it more widespread at any other price on the SEL elsewhere). However, it's probably generally gone from M now - although it is in a few stores. If things are generally gone, though M will always have them somewhere, they may be in no collection stores. So, I think the Maxibon is at the stage right now of being in this risk.

I also don't have the Dr. Oetker Funghi Pizza and Hawaii Pizza this time, and have checked six stores! (Exclamation point as that is believed to be the same number as the APG. Probably wrong in that belief though.) I found both of them on Monday and I find it hard to believe that they could have gone completely from M in the space of two days. They will be somewhere, still at £1.50, probably in the stores where I had them on Monday and other stores too. I will keep them on the list. You can tell me that only the other four are showing online and on msm - however only those same four were showing there on Tuesday and the Funghi and Hawaii were clearly in M the day before without a doubt. I had the Hawaii Pizza physically in stock in two stores and with a SEL but temporarily OOS sign in another. I had the Funghi Pizza in stock in one store (that also stocked most of the others). But, indeed, the Oetker pizzas seemed a bit bitty overall for me on Monday - I had one store that had only three versions of them, which is half of the range that I know to have been stocked by M on Monday, and was picking one up from one place and then another elsewhere but built up to what I believe to be the full six from using the set of stores. Some stores did have four, others had the Funghi and/or Hawaii within the ones they had, I don't think any had all six but, in total, I had no problem.

Now, on Wednesday, although not really a 'problem' for me as I 'know' the missing two will be elsewhere, I seem to have the same four in every store:huh:. I didn't manage to add the Funghi or Hawaii from anywhere, but just kept having the same consistent four, whereas on Monday some of my stores had fewer, some had those four, but, whilst it seemed more bitty in each store, I managed to build up to all six. I do not know whether Funghi and Hawaii would be classed as 'riskier' - it may just be the set of stores I have visited this time. I've no doubt they would all be stocked by M somewhere - the four online may be more widespread and therefore more 'safe'? - or maybe not? - all six should be against T at same price each as M at the moment. Of course they did go down to a rarer £1 in M recently:rotfl: - I think I just watch for these items these days:cool:.

Silly things, little quirks like the 2 for £1 individual packets of sweets. It's - I would say surprising but it isn't at all to me these days - strange? - except it's probably not:rotfl: - just may seem 'odd' to some people - how much variance there is in the range between different stores. To be honest, I don't literally check every one of these products every time but, since the offer has remained ongoing, I just keep it the 'same as before' - the items in the offer seem to be the same although I'm sure I would notice if there was any minor change - but this time, since it's been a while, I've done a fuller check. (No good btw as some of them go down to individual 40p offers elsewhere:rotfl::rotfl:.) There are some new Hallowe'en-themed sweets in the M offer (not that they are any good at the moment:rotfl:) - I think that's what made me check more fully again - and I've deliberately ruled out the Mentos sweets and the Cadbury Marvellous Creations as they went up in price, a while back, in order to join the offer - so I have no details of which Mentos or Creations M has as the products are too expensive compared to what they were before - the Hershey's also did the same so they too will not be on the list - and, whilst there are common products in stores in this offer, there are additional ones in the next store - and I think I have one, non-Hallowe'en standard chocolate pack in only one store:rotfl:. I certainly didn't have it in the first two, despite thinking that I had the full range by the end of the second store (which had quite a few more additional to the first!). So I have that one from a different store, that turned up at about store four - as if the first three stores gave me everything...

I'll see what I have overall - one of the items, which I didn't find in the first store, was then in the second but then became a carryover as I had to find the weight from a further store as it was OOS and not stated on the SEL. It is being done properly: and I did find it - it was the only one on the regular shelf in one of my later stores:rotfl::T! I don't think there is any problem, or if there is it is not much, with Ms not displaying mbuys on these anymore - I think everywhere I see is nowadays showing the offer.

So, rather than there being much change, it's a tying up of several loose ends on some things which, if anything, is probably a longer job:doh::rotfl::rotfl:. Little bits:D. Lots of little bits, each added one on top of the other:(:rotfl:.

Anyway... lest you have all forgotten about the Nescafe Gold Blend Refill now...:rotfl:.

    Alright, goodnight for now:wave:.
