Can anyone know if, now the first £1000 savings interest is tax free, I still need to declare any interest - even if it is less than £1000 ? It all seems a bit vague and I would appreciate any advice.

I am also confused - do we still need to do the R85 forms when we open a new account?
I am thinking I should just send in the forms anyway
My earnings are way under the tax threshold anyway

I would imagine quite a few people worry about this - you could have a small pension, part time earnings from a job with variable hours,
a bit of savings interest - until you get to the end of March it would not be easy to tell how close you are getting to your own personal tax allowance ...

Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

TU sale at S - up to 50% off according to their email.

It's not a proper 25% off everything as previously but a selected few things are reduced. I am in sainsbobs now and I've got a few things - things I've been watching for a while in the hope of prices going down. Known ing me though most things I will hate by the time I get home :)

Also quite a few items RTC. On the hair are section - some down to 20p or 50p but very limited items

They have also started doing some RTC on the cat food section but nothing worth making a special journey for

I checked nectar and mycoupons before I came out but nothing to write home about

The first £1000 tax free interest does not start until this tax year 15-16. For last years self assessment you need to include any interest in your personal allowance. Hope you can undertstand this. This tax year the £1000 interest is on top of all other income so a nice little bonus for people with a low income HTH everyone.

Some of the 900ml shampoo & conditioners and also hairsprays are on offer at £3.00 and on 3 for 2. If you add 3 to your basket the cost is obviously 3 @ £3.00 = £9.00 and the 3 for 2 kicks in but it takes the pre offer amount of £5.25 off. So 3 items cost £9.00 - £5.25 = £3.75 for all 3 (£1.25 each). I think the items on offer are out of stock at the moment but you can add them to your wish list and keep checking it as they are coming in and out of stock ;) I found that I needed to have 3 of the same item for the glitch to work but it worked for others with 2 of each. Thanks to ILTS:T

It worked for me this morning buying 2 conditioners and the hairspray (I could only put 2 conditioners in my basket)
