The DTD idea was a really nice idea and would have been great - however:(:(the T price going down, making the discount worse and therefore costing more. I suspect the general wider public however, as usual, will be loving the £1 price, misleading and deceiving themselves into believing it to be better when in fact it is not, being unaware and ill-informed about the facts that mean it was better before, and buying at the worst possible and most inefficient time, when it is £1, and therefore seeing themselves paying more. As a matter of fact, it does seem that most people are incapable of protecting their own economic interests. Well, good:p - I look forward to the general public stupidly paying more and then moaning about how much less money they have left but, as usual, failing to address the causes of that*.
It doesn't seem like I have a very good view of the public:rotfl::rotfl:. However, it's more complex than that - and I would also stress that I don't see the public as being totally useless.
Meanwhile for us, the enlighted minority...:D:j:T:). Whilst the nice higher and therefore cheaper T price lasts:rotfl:.
*However, we also do rely on the general public being so stupid. If everybody was aware of the cheapest way of buying like this, these schemes would not exist and prices, as a whole, I think would be higher as people's then general buying of items that make stores a loss would not work. The stores would never be able to continue to carry on business or exist if everyone bought the way we do. They would need to change their marketing tactics to survive and to ensure that everyone ended up paying much more than we currrently do. So, in a sense, we also depend on people not buying efficiently:T. (That is efficiently from our POV - obviously not efficient from the perspective of T:rotfl:. It saves us money - which, inevitably I nowadays think, can only be achieved by costing the stores money.)0 -

The greatest part of it is they lost so much weight by following their own diet, but the food is still so goodWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
My pregnant six was admitted to hospital yesterday with sky high blood pressure. She's just over 7 months.
Baby is very small and if delivered now, he is predicted to weigh 1-1.5kg   they won't let her go past 37 weeks, so he will be here in the next 3 weeks.
They had a bit of a meltdown today so I went to the hospital to sort them out. Turns out that they don't have anything ready at allwe sat down and made a list of what they need and prioritised it. Me and my brother went out tonight for some bits so they've got the very basic stuff now.
I remembered from ages ago about the little angels newborn packs that were £4 with a £10 voucher inside - I got him to get one of those and told him how to recycle the vouchers
I actually feel so sorry for them. They've clearly gone through this pregnancy with their heads buried in the sand and living in a fantasy land where everything baby related happens by magic. They've got a hell of a reality check headed their way:(
The really sad thing is how little they've got so far. I've brought home the clothes they've got so far so I can wash them and take one job off their hands. It won't even make up a full load of washing

Bless them.
I will be sending positive thoughts for mum and baby x
If they are organised they will not need a huge amount (they don't sound organised), failing that car boot sales are fab for baby clothes.
The little angels vouchers sound fab, wished I'd know about them as I have a few people who could benefit from it.:D:D:D

TrulyMadly wrote: »A good glitchy day for me. Thanks to TS I got the olives, pests and houmous all reduced in A.....with great dates. Packs of smoked salmon half price at £2, Parma ham £1, chorizo etc
I hesitated going to T as I have so much washing tabs etc from the A reductions but did a quick tally and decided that as I have 3 homes to run that I could do with more conditioner. So got some of the Comfort 64 wash in all flavours:D
Used the last of the Upbeat vouchers with the money off collars from the ones I bought last week. Supposed to give 50p off but gave £1:T
Tried so hard to persuade my whoopsie friends to take a leap of faith and try a comfort shop but they weren't interested:o0
