Hi guys, been away on Holiday and seems to be ages since i was on here, but i am in need of a cheapish laptop if anyone knows of any bargains/deals around at the moment please. its for OH, all he really uses it for is browsing, facebook and emails, so nothing too high tech needed, the only thing he is insisting on is that is has a 14" minimum screen, i would be very grateful if anyone could give me some pointers as to where to buy cheaply. thanks for any help. x

Hi I'm really lost on this web site, I'm new to posts...but I need help here, I feel like I'm being fobbed off! Basically I had an issue with my tablet...it's fairly new on the market, and I've probably had it about three weeks, it's been unresponsive to touch...alas! I fainted avoiding my 16 month year old I crushed my tablet...very unhappy! I contacted the company as I'm covered by warranty, discussed the initial concern that "it's non responsive, in general to touch...not slow just non responsive even with the pencil" they said bring it in! I said ok I will but I fell on it fainting and it's a bit cracked..."no worries" they said, and booked me into see one of there team. Yeah! They won't do anything unless I pay £349 for a second hand replacement as "we can repair the screen because it's cracked" so they want me to pay for a new ".... tablet" so they can fix the screen, but they can't fix the screen because I have to by a new one as the screens cannot be replaced...because it's cracked, completely ignoring the original issue at hand that it's just not working as advertised...I'm being fobbed off here, I've called them back this morning to hear the same thing "it's not covered under warranty mamm as the screens cracked" what do I do now 😩😩😩😩 help!

There are forums on here that could provide more indepth answers but my advice would be to claim on your household insurance for the cracked screen and not mention it is unresponsive.

Try going back to forum list and see if you can find one on consumer rights as under sale of goods act they should replace because of unresponsive screen but broken screen sort of puts a spanner in the works.
    Hope that helps

Yes it is still live as a promo - get the President Brie cheese with the promo labels until 20/10. See: http://presidentcheese-promotion.co.uk/ (their T&Cs say they have 6000 to give away and the website form will be taken down when all have gone)..

It is currently on offer in A for £1 a pack, buy 2 on the same receipt, upload receipt, free bottle of Chenet posted to you. One per household.

I have ordered two Wednesday tickets :) Not 100% sure I can make it yet but should be ok.
Wonder if VT and N know about it.

Thanks for thinking of us Hornetgirl:)
I had instructions to get tickets and as I didn't know which day I have wed and fri. N works tues and thurs so will be her choice what day we go and other pair can be gifted.

Got home from Antigua on Monday. What can I say. Met a fair few of N's friends and they all planned things to do. Swimming in half moon bay, a visit to the artist Gilly Gobinet in her home, tour of Nelsons Dockyards and a lovely day out on a boat. Storm Mathew hit us last Wednesday but only really bothersome on one day.
Photos to follw when I get them off N's phone.
