It doesn't look like I'm going to be lucky with the free wine from President. I filled the form in last week but no sign of an email :(

Still pondering over what to do about Saturday night's takeaway. DH has pointed out that it doesn't normally come out of the food budget, he just buys it. His parents wouldn't "get" the frocky thing at all and if we said we couldn't afford it they would offer to pay and would then worry about why we couldn't afford it. I think we'll just have to bite the bullet and do it. I feel bad about not counting it in my £40 but if I do we'll be starving for the rest of the month!

Don't you dare :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I only got a new contract sorted with Sky on Sunday morning after a bit of haggling I got the same I was paying for another twelve months :money:

Not bad, but after we have disconnected you and pulled the cable back a bit it will take them ages to reconnect you, especially as Sky would take at least a week before calling BT out :p

How are you keeping these days, all aches gone? X

Hi, hope you are recovering well. :A

    Not exactly 100%

Throat infection, lead to lung infection, lead to pneumonia, just about recovered, then got a broken rib, 2 cracked ribs and a cracked elbow.

Other than that, i'm fine thanks, and am very aware that always someone else is in a worse place, so will quit complaning :D

If it's the strain that leads in gently then suddenly pole-axes you on Day Three, I'll plead guilty.

Day 6 here - huge improvement.

    Get well soon. x

Blame it all on you then :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Hi honey, I'm home :D

And quite a bit browner :D

    Glad you had good time.
    Good evening,

Firstly before I start, please let me know if I upset anyone and I'll delete my post.
My dear, dear sweet baby 11 year old lab princess poppy is due to be put to sleep tomorrow:( to say I am devastated is in understatement. She has severe arthritis in her back leg. The vet has said that she is in pain (they actually said its one of the worst cases they have seen) but she has been on tramadol, metacam and ibuprofen. I just want outside opinions on whether I am doing "the right thing". While all these pain killers are helping her to some extent, she seems to be permanently sedated.
Sorry to ramble I am just so upset, I have never had to make a decision like this before and it just hurts so much. What if I make the wrong decision?

    Thinking of you xxxx

    Afternoon everyone.

Own up who has passed on the flu bug to me. At least it will be over and done with before my holiday x

I think they passed it on to me about 10 days ago... sadly it is still there, and today I started to feel sick (great for the frugal month!)

Chateauneuf du pape was the first bottle of wine I bought my wife when we first met as it was my favourite. It was also on every table when we married. Everytime we have it, it brings back so many memories. Even though we live apart, when we do get together, there's always a bottle. :)

    That is lovely scamps x

    Love a good romance story.

My 1st date with the Mrs was about 21 years ago.

Went to a fancy Italian kitchen on the Kings Road.

Mrs food was still frozen, not off to a good start.

Window shopping in the rain, should have detected the shoe addiction.

It got better, parked at Covent Garden, didn't pay any attention to where.

After an hour of walking around in the rain, eventually found the car.

The heating not working in the car didn't help.

Took 2 weeks for her to call me back :rotfl:

Flip Frequent, your wife must have the patience of a saint.

I once had a date with a rather handsome lad, he picked me up and drove me to a lovely country pub and as we walked into the pub, he bent down to pick something up and his car keys slipped out of his breast pocket and down the drains. I did not return his telephone calls.

I had another date with a rugged chap, when he accidentally run over an animal he stopped the car and put it on the boot of the car to cook later...I was a stricken Veggie... I did not return his telephone calls.

On my first date with OH, I had made a mistake and arranged to see two man with the first name at the same place (I blame mum for not getting more details from hem before I spoke to them). I caught the bus to town, and nearly died when I saw them both stood waiting for me. OH waited the longest!
