Some very interesting and thought provoking posts today LEJC, not boring at all. I think my journey is taking a similar course to yours but you are so much more eloquent than I will ever be.

No money spent today :T Dinner was fish fingers from the freezer, mash from the last remaining spuds and broccoli from a womble shop yesterday. Tomorrow I'll be in the vicinity of an Aldi so will have a little mooch in there I think. I never seem to do very well with whoopsies so wombles will probably be how I get through this, meaning I will have to shop little and often. Luckily A is within walking distance.
Saturday could be tricky. Every other week or so we have a takeaway with DH's parents and watch a DVD with them. We didn't have one last week so should do this week. Fish and chips is probably the cheapest option but still a big chunk of cash.
I not doing it but it is very thought provoking :)

Whats wrong with it? Its lovely:T:T

If you could see the original file you'd see a huge difference :)

Saving for web and resizing it strips a lot of data and compresses it, the image is best viewed at A3 not 800px wide

I'll need to learn how to deal with the grain in photoshop or Lightroom - I'm no good at post processing
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Try amazon for the vodka. Prosecco, it has to be tesco finest (Bisol I think it is), a stunning drink.

Have you ever had the lidl one? I've seen lots of people mention it previously, and it's usually very good value.
  • hi, does anyone know anywhere where they sell chocolate vodka please? im looking for a Christmas present for my niece.

also can anyone recommend a Prosecco they like?

    thanks x

Botegga Gold. Pricier than your T's Bisol and Lidl's but so, so lovely

New Zealand, South Island, 4 weeks :D:D

Only booked flights, accommodation will be pot luck when there and not tied to a location and time - freedom....

Was in Aus/NZ in March. South and North island completely different in looks and atmosphere. Very low population on South Island, empty really. Christchurch-cry at the devastating loss they went through, go on a tram ride, all of NZ are mad for coffee and cake-you find cafes in the most remote places and the cakes are amazing, go to the cardboard cathedral, cry at the ruins of the real cathedral, be silent and weep at the white chairs memorial, sit and daydream in the botanical gardens , go to all the museums. They were getting back on their feet but a lot of Christchurch is still a vast carpark or condemned huge buildings, Beautiful place though

Glaciers-Franz Josef-brilliant, the water cascading down the mountains (everywhere) is ice blue, theres a tiny swiss like catholic church at the top of the hill, the town feels like you are in the rain forest and then as you climb you feel like you are in the alps.
Theres so much there its hard to describe. Lots of motels rather than hotels as its a vast island with few inhabitants and long long stretches of road before the next town..I was leaving one town and saw a sign saying "185 kms to next petrol stop" !!!!

Beautiful, haunting, unspoilt views...lovely, really lovely.

In supermarkets trollies are trundles, if you are doing s catering-then there are 2 main supermarkets and both do a loyalty card thing which is worth it as you get money off shopping at the till(ask in any store and visitors can have them)

Finally figured how to log out of M&S so I could show you what I got:

    http://www.marksandspencer.com/loose-fit-animal-fleece-gilet/p/p22470864

I got the same one as had a £15 voucher, not being ungrateful but would have preferred a £10 one so that I could've got one of these
    http://www.marksandspencer.com/anti-bobble-thermal-fleece-jacket/p/p22427331?prevPage=plp
    and paid £2.50.

Yeah, did both islands back in 2010, South Island is my preference :D hence going back. Hope to do the bits I missed of which there is a lot! And revisit certain areas. This time I won't be Zorbing, bungeeing or skydiving - too old for that now :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
