    Evening peeps. :)

Tiny, did your vouchers for the free burger meal work? I tried the original pub I tried last week and they still came back as invalid. Maybe it's only to be used on certain pubs!!

My babies were really fed up again. I've now got 8 meals, but the nearest place that worked is miles away!

I don't know who to email, Sizzling pubs or Heineken. Anyone else having problems?

    Evening all--
I thought I would join in the frugal October to lighten the mood here in RL.
I've had an awful 10 days or so
Firstly as I mentioned before the car broke down and I was stuck by myself for nearly 6 hours on a busy road, even though we had breakdown cover----I felt like a sitting duck waiting for an accident to happen with the lorries thundering passed.but I got over that.phew!!
I then travelled to London for my babysitting duties on the train changing at Whitechapel which actually wasn't too bad, I would consider that route again.
An acquaintance we have known for about 5years and also a work colleague of my dil felt unwell on Wednesday evening and died:( He was mid 40s been to work during the day, went for a walk with his 3 year old son had his supper then.......RIP as well as leaving a 3year old his wife is 4 months pregnant...so sad
I went to London as usual on sunday in the now repaired car costing £450 ish:eek: with my DH for my last babysitting duty before number 2 grandson arrives in 4 weeks time...so I was feeling a little sad
.....but awful news filtered through on sunday morning before I left, a former work colleague and friend lost her life in a house fire, she was a single mum who had a 16year old son and 2 dogs, the son was out as the fire started early evening, but the dogs were in the house but survived- they have now been adopted together, and the son is with his nan.
It is ironical the local fire station was to close last year but this lady campaigned to keep it open, which she was successful with, so the shout on Saturday night was terrible for all those fire fighters involved as they all knew her personally:(
A while ago her name on fb was allvolunteredout...because she was always there helping others,:A the village have now started a book of condolences and a fund for the son, as everything has gone :( This story has hit hundreds of local people, with headlines on the front page of papers and national papers wanting a story of this selfless remarkable lady....so sad I still cant believe it...she use to call me aunty Hill....:(:(
Then to cap it all my grandson has just been expelled from school for bad behaviour ...hes 15 1/2 and lives with us....strange as it may seem although this is a major event that has happened to him it seems quite trivial in the context of everything else...
    Sorry to ramble......
I did manage the ice cream yesterday but haven't been rewarded yet and got the sausages today :)
I have £3 off £30 spend in T next week so it will be a challenge to get that shop for next to nothing....I have my £5 orchard voucher to use I think Monday is the last day, and with soup and hipps hopefully all should be good :)

    Oh no.......how awful:o

    What a week you've had:o
