the mystery twine delivery is dreadful but not as bad as yesterdays shambles. My labels and tops are damaged so no good for presents or saving for Christmas

One box was almost all very cheap French and Spanish cooking wine with low alcohol percentages 10.5% and 11% which I am taking back into store for a refund

The other was just normal everyday stuff, nothing to write home about but we did get one bottle of everyday champagne

thanks for this, I have relayed all of the info to them - both at work so I don't expect to hear back until this afternoon.

I have a sinking feeling about this. Eldest child was in various shared houses and flats while at uni and in the years afterwards and it was constant problems of one sort or another with agents, landlords and maintaince problems so it was a huge relief when thye got this current flat as the landlord lives next door and anything that needs sorting they just nip round and ask him but he has spent a fortune on these flats so he takes great care of them.
but now we are back to another set of flat problems with GF and eldest son ...

Hopefully its just move in teething problems....and will all be sorted by just adapting to learning how to use new gadgets etc.

...but a basic set of instruction manuals downloaded from the net is always handy to have in a folder with contact information of who to go to in an emergency.....we call it the lifeline folder and put one in each property.

We sat down last night with a lovely glass of chilled Blue nun...figured we would start at the bottom and work upwards.

..most of ours seem to date from 2012/2013 so I think they really are clearing out the old stuff and the second box I've not been able to price up because no where seems to stock it...did have one interesting bottle a Robert Mondavi but like you say the labels on all were really bad and most have crushed tops!

ok here is what I got. usually I price the bottles up but nothing I've googled so far has been in stock anywhere but I think they are drink now bottles - at least it will save my more exotic expensive ones

it is a gamble with them but usually the boxes you get are good enough - never had bad boxes before, everything is years old.
the NZ and South African should be ok and the champers but the nameless Spanish and French will go back plus 4 others, not sure which yet

Italia architetto Pinot Grigio (Sicilian) x 6
mountain vineyards Sauvignon Blanc 2014 -2
tesco finest South African Chenin Blanc 2014- 2
    dino Pinot Grigio 2013 - 2
oceans edge Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough - New Zealand 2013
Wairau cove Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough - New Zealand 2014
    chilano Sauvignon Blanc 2013
vin de France white wine (10.5%) x3
    Spanish white wine (11%) x5

    and randomly
    champagne Nicholas feuillatte brut

I've had a text off home base cancelling my curtains I knew it was going to happen but still disappointing.

    Hiya

Did you get the promise of the '£5 Gesture of Goodwill'? I was wondering how this materialises.....is it a paper voucher posted to us or an online code? Does anyone know?

    Thanks x
