Well, I have had a busy day. Not only have I made the Christmas cake and pud:D I have also swapped the sofas and deep vacuumed the lounge. Not an easy task, the sofas are metal framed and sink into the carpet, have to lift them out of the carpet first  Then of course I had to clean them (leather) and dust and polish the woodwork.

Ah, baking the Christmas cake is on my to do list for this week :D Quite looking forward to making it this year without any little 'helpers' (bad Mummy) :rotfl: They always get cross that they can't eat it afterwards...

    Hi Logie :D
Hope you can rest your foot so it heals quicker x

    Thanks bubbs :)
It's up on a pillow whilst I'm watching bake off :D No urgent plans for tomorrow so hopefully can rest it then. Got to stay at home for Mr Hotpoint tumble dryer man to come and do his thing - only waited since October... :rotfl:
Hope you're having a fab holiday. That area is my favourite to stay - already been this Summer, albeit slightly more inland this time. Wondering how to persuade DH to go back to our usual place in Filey at half term ;)

It's just the safety repairs to try and make sure it doesn't catch fire  DH has had the back off regularly to remove the lint whilst we were waiting and we'd been offered a new dryer for £59 but I didn't see the point of spending out on a new machine when this one is only a few years old.

We love Robin Hoods Bay too. We had a quick visit in July but had tagged it onto the end of a trip to Whitby and the boys were getting tired and whingy.

We stayed in a lovely lodge in the forest near Pickering this year. We made it to Whitby/Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough but didn't get any further South on the coast. The boys wanted to explore the forest a bit and we had days out at the National Railway Museum in York and Flamingoland. We were really lucky with the weather too - only one day with rain. Wasn't hot like now but warm enough for the beach :)

I got mine replaced foc Logie. Was quite a few years old but I told them I wasn't accepting a repair to a faulty product xx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

Oh well done  I missed a trick then... I'd be more worried if it were in the house but it's in our garage, not attached to the house (not that I'd want it to set on fire either way!)

Evening all, hope everyone is well. Logie I hope the ankle feels better soon.
Thanks for this, were you with British Gas from the last collective fix ? I'm wondering whether it's worth me changing as I am. Tia xx

I checked mine earlier as I switched last time and it said I would pay £56 more per year on the new deal :( - with £30 Cashback though I wonder whether it may still be worth doing as that keeps the price lower than standard tariff for longer (fix ends in February).
