your oven is immaculate, mine is the black hole of Calcutta
if I looked on ao I could probably get a new oven without melted control knobs and a clean oven and I really need to do this before Christmas.
OH has to upgrade the wiring to the oven, it randomly triips out - it should have been done when the kitchen was put in 20 years ago ...

very brave ditching your cook book collection. I have culled a few but I am emotionally attached to most of mine - the ones I used when the offspring were little and cooking was a vast part of the daily routine ...

I could never ditch my cookbooks. I have some that are literally falling apart, I also have Delia and Hairy Bikers (I love the way they cook, bit of this, bit of that, their recipes are so adaptable) but my favourite is Mrs Beaton, it has the same Christmas cake recipe in it that my mother always made :D

  • I have realised something today... I had always thought that when myself and OH have a bottle of wine we SHARE this, and we can often drink 2 or 3 bottles and I am still sober.

However, my realisation is that he must drink 90% of it...as I opened a bottle today and drank it.... and am piddled. Totally piddled.

It's having the tablet that has made a difference as I can do the pics and upload all on one device.

My phone is a smartphone but my data allowance is meagre on the £8/month contract and going over it brings bigger bills, so I capped it and also I found the data off-switch.:D
