    Men eh:rotfl::rotfl:

    Years ago I told OH he had to pack his own clothes, despite encouragement he argued he only needed a few things... he looked a right wally walking around Florida dressed in DS1 (DS1 was pre-teen... so it was hilarious!)

    yes I thought it must be well sign posted - I know that it is as you go towards the Birmingham toll road
    also looking at the website it seems to say if you pay within 24 hours of going through you won't be fined - if I'd read this correctly.
    If errant son had made it clear he had gone via the Dartford tunnel but he hadn't know wether or how to pay tolls we could have gone online and figured it out.
    as you say he might have been treated leniently because of his northern address
    and he did the right thing ringing them up firstly - I would have just have paid up - so that conversation saved him a lot of money.

    Mhoc, an online account for the dartford crossing is worth it not only because it saves you from forgetting to pay, but also because you get a discount on the crossing cost. Current charge is £2.50 each time but if you set up an online account each crossing will cost you £1.67....quite a saving me thinks!
    Dont do what a friend of mine did though....she hired a van to pick up something she won on ebay....silly mo added the hire van to her dartford crossing online account (instead of just doing a one off payment)...she didnt realise until she logged into her account a few weeks later and saw that she had paid for lots of other peoples crossing charge who had hired the van after her ...lol
