we nearly managed a NSD yesterday if it wasn't for the need for a bag with purple kangaroos on

(I wonder if Aussie are aware that its urban slang for something else, its a pity that every phrase has to have another meaning :( )

I tried last night to get a code to work for the Groupon loo rolls but I don't think I was doing it right. I wasn't even sure if it was a good enough price. Or that I could smuggle 90 loo rolls into various nooks and crannies around the house

Was on Fake Britain yesterday morning about these cards .

I bought some of these cards couple weeks ago they are lovely :)

Thank you - fortunately it looks nothing like that.

I have tested it, it records OK, and the size is correct, but it just does not look right. Will see what Sandisk say.

  • Snap - apparently the Guildford Monopoly will be available in shops from 20th October.

Looking to go somewhere free this weekend?

There's a load of open days all over the country. Much more than in previous years......a lot include guided tours and talks. I've made a list of half a dozen I want to see including allotments:j, walled gardens and an old leper hospital.....you will know where I mean perky:)

There's also a guided tour of Durham Crematorium, explaining the workings of the crematorium and lots of information on cremation_pale__pale_

Might give that one a miss:rotfl:

I am annoyed with myself now. Very early on Monday morning for a brief time I was on the point of booking a York hotel for this coming weekend but I dithered as OH is on call this week, only 2 weeks since we got back and general nervousness about the roof situation, plus I wasn't sure what we would do with our selfs as all three cards have expired - Art Pass, National Trust and Taste card. York has masses of places on the list.

in contrast our nearest town is not listed, one place for our next nearest, one place for the 3rd nearest
Chester has quite a few places on the list, a lot of churches so that's a possibility ...

I've had Soap and Glory hand cream go off. It went liquidy and smelt terrible!

thanks for this. I got 2 from the O2 priority offer last weekend so I think I will put them out for immediate usage rather than putting them in the stash draw. I have enough hand cream to last forever.

this discussion about things going off is worrying. Eons ago there was an offer, buy a Boots botanics item and get a body cream free so you could buy the body scrubber mitts and get a massive body moisturiser glass jar for free (so long ago but I think that is how it worked)
I have a life time supply of mitts and I still have numerous glass jars. I am wondering about the contents of these jars now ...

    Morning all :)
I need to start glitchy shopping again, not bothered in ages and just done a rough tally of our food bill in the last 6 months

same here so I am starting again to keep an up to date tally of our everyday spends -with loosing all of the freezer contents and my cheese and yogurt stash I really need to be glitch shopping.
Also I gave errant son 2 massive bags for life of assorted food stuffs when he went south and again last weekend to make sure he had a basic food cupboard to start him off.
Before we went away I took 2 massive bags to the food bank collection.
Its all looking very Mother Hubbard here

    :)

Apologies I haven't caught up, so bestest to those that need ♥

I've had extreme ear ache :( & have had to ring Drs for an appointment. Can't go to Salou with this demon pain :)
    So awaiting Drs ring back.

Yesterday - In next town, I got a tump of magazines from Ts & they had the HiPPs too :T
Duracell hearing aid batteries (6 pack) RTC at £1.25
Swimming arm bands & rubber rings 25p RTC
    (20p in Morrisons)

Found Nicky Elite 9 pack in Savers for £1.99 :) & £2.99 for Rescue Remedy :D & Rescue Remedy Chewing Gum, ideal for the flights :)

Walked up to hospital & had my eyes squirted with stuff so they could photograph them 'deeply'.
Came out & was almost blind :(:( I had 2 hours to waste before train home so I had to just walk to station & sit & wait for train in the baking hot sun - couldn't text, read or engage in any conversation - I felt so isolated - big heartfelt thoughts to those whose sight is not 100% ♥
