Much better!Ladyshopper wrote: »Did you see my edit on my post? Won't work if its a discounted rate basically, and that seems to be discount for being an IHG member (well, thats what showed up on my computer anyway when I searched, and I am a member).
What about these ones? (I am hoping these links work.....)

Looking at the macdonald hotel as it seems easier to find this one without special discounts. Not as handy, but will do. Many thanks for looking LS.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

I got caught on and IHG or HI price yesterday even though I a not a member, they wouldnt honour it. I also found the same hotel (that I had booked) at over £40 cheaper on Travel republic but they say it comes up different rates when they look :eek::eek:
I have appealled the decision with a screen print but not very optimistic.0 -

I dont know how people manage it, it is far too confusing for my little brain :rotfl:
Also, it says they might ask for your travel details, and I am aving to make up a flight I am getting, as they dont have an option to pick a cruise, I would be knackered if I had to provide proof of my flight.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

I have a flight booked so no worries there, but all they said was have £20...why would they give me that if it was not cheaper elsewhere ?0 -

I might just book it and go for it, ring them up and find out there and then. Worst case is they refuse, and I have lost the £2 odd cancellation fee, not the end of the world.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

I have generally not taken any notice of the HE posts, since I dont fly.
But just booked another cruise this morning, and fancy going down the night before. I have looked, and there is a Holiday Inn (West) listed. It is £96 on HE and £86.40 on the Holiday Inn website. So far looking good. When booking with HE, I can not see the option of paying the extra so that I can cancel, where abouts is this option please?
Edit: Found it. They have the same hotel for £119 and with that one it is possible to pay the extra to cancel. I am more confused about this now, as how come the same hotel is even more?

Do these 2 look like they compare please?
I think this is the link that you need.

Both rates compare. I would go for the best flexible 117.99/119 HE.
When you book, it gives you the choice to add the cancellation insurance.
Not neccessary on a best flexible.
Good luck.0 -
