Regarding the reference, some specify that family members are not allowed to act as referees, might be worth checking.

Yes I will check this out - sure he means a reference - I know that guarantor means you pay the rent if they cant.

I don't think he is paying a full 50% of the rent as its mainly GF living there for now and she will be the bill sorter

Is it going to be a joint tenancy between them both or just sole in his Gf's name?

If he is a visitor at weekends there is no need for him to be named on the agreement unless his salary is being used as part of the affordability calculations or they particularly want a joint agreement.

Oh mhoc....that's terrible. What a homecoming:o are you going to go through your insurance company?

Zippy only asked yesterday if anyone ever managed to empty their freezer:o

The thing with freezer food is there's no alternative to throwing it all out. At least you got rid of the mess quickly:o

Originally we were going through the insurance company but decided in the end it was not worth doing - quite a lot was home produce or home cooked foods so it is not like we can replace like for like. It would also impact on next years premium.
So we are just going to replace things bit by bit - mostly it will be plums and blackberries from the brambles in the fields for now :D

when we first got the freezer youngest son was still home but now its just us two so our culinary requirements are much more simple now.

Hopefully there will be a silver lining and it will encourage me to cook more eg if I make cheese and onion quiche now I can make 3 bases at the same time and freeze 2 - never had the space to do this before - so this will be money and time saving

the flat roof OH says is in a good state of repair and we will get our tame builder to check it anyway when we eventually ensnare him.

Dining room - well it is on the To Do list and I was hoping it could be done with just a plaster skim and a paint over but our tame builder is borderline OCD and he probably decided a long time ago it needs stripping back and re- plastering anyway - very ancient artex

OK I will check this out - it might well be this

I've sent him a load of questions anyway :)

Just remembered he asked for his bank statements before we went away and we then realised he didn't have them as he is paperless but he worked out how to download pdf copies form his online banking and these must have been acceptable

Yes and doesn t it all stink too

Good Morning all off to Chester today on the bus with hubby and Riley :)

my worst nightmare was that the spoilt food would have tainted the freezer and fridge but fortunately it all seems OK

we have a fast cool down and freeze down buttons on ours but in the midst of the chaos on Saturday afternoon I could not find the instruction booklet which was supposed to be on top so I had to press buttons and hope - the fridge was the worst, took ages to cool down

bin men been this morning - our wheely bin stinks always anyway - cat litter and cat poo plus a variety of semi chewed dead mice, shrews and moles Sophie cat brings home :rotfl:

Not been over that way for months MKS. :o

Used to pop in regularly when I took mum over the hospital that way but rarely go now.

Reminds me gocat hope you enjoyed your day while your mum was at the hospice, my mum used to go to one and it became the highlight of her week. :A Made me smile when you said it was like first day at school that was how I felt with my mum. in fact I had to take her myself first time and go in with her to show her it was nothing to be scared about. :o She made us all tie dyed silk scarves while there something we all treasure as she was so proud of all the colours and designs she managed to do. :T
    Morning all

Mums 2nd day at the hospice today. Yes she enjoyed it last week. We did all take her there for a look round, so she saw the group at work, so didn't have to go with her the first day.
Aaaah another day of freedom :D

Yesterday, took her to a place called plotlands near Basild0n. Its got a house there which has been left furnished as it was in the 40's or 50s. Ration books, etc. Mum loved it and spend a great afternoon chatting to the volunteers there about the war days :D

Oh dear is HUMAX kaput or will it fix ?

I love mine a lot better than the Sagemcom I had before.

My HUMAX records the full series :j:j:j

When I tried this on Sagemcom it either didn't record or recorded programme on every channel it could find with it on during the day week :eek::eek:
