Thanks mhoc will pass info to DD2, she likes the new riverside shopping centre she doesn't think it was there last time she was here which will be well over year ago. We walked back along river and saw somewhere called revolution where we could have eaten and they do half price Mondays. :money:

Sat outside As now waiting to drop her back, Mr TS is picking sweets for return trip. I dare not go in otherwise I will be rounded out the shop if I start browsing. :o

Accommodation she is in is quite good :)

Yes the riverside place is brand new, Marks has only just moved there. They had a town centre shop for about 50 years but like a lot of towns everything seems to have moved to just outside town so the actually town centres are full of empty places.

You should be wombling outside A - but it was always a scrubbed clean carpark with very few wombles.
    Good cheap petrol station though.

I am assuming you are getting onto the Wolverhampton road and getting back onto the M6 at the top end.

From Asda though you can follow the road around via Newport Road and get to Tesco from there, turn right the lights by the Eagle and go past the station, around the park by the college and through the roundabout at Tenterbanks and you can then get onto Sainsburys there - so three big supermarkets within 10 mins of each other.
but then you would never get home if you started a supermarket circuit :D

Sainsburys is good to park on - put £1.50 into the parking machine which gives you 2 hours parking but if you go to Sainsburys and spend £5 you get your £1.50 back at the till - you have to save the other half of your ticket stub.
often I just buy a £5 gift card to get my free parking and then use the gift card next time.
Across the road from Sainsburys is Wilko and then Iceland and Home Bargains so in those 4 you can get most things without going any further if you are short of time

It was the real deal:) sandwiches, cakes, scones, macaroons, fudge. I've been 3 times and slightly different each time, service was slow though. So many now include fizz:mad: I don't want fizz and the extra cost involved when I have to drive.

    Did you find any bargains?:)

oo that sounds good - have to have a look now to see if its still running on Groupon, it must have been on while we were away.

Our nearest Wyvevale is Bridgemere - it used to be a family run place but the chap who owned it had numerous sons and daughters so I think it was sold onto Wyevale for retirement and tax planning purposes.
Now its a huge shopping place, not the same at all.
We have been odd times when the breakfast BOGOF breakfast deals were on but as you say service has always been chronically slow

agree about the fizz - Ive never been able to understand what it has to do with sandwiches

well - I've just been looking for links and just discovered the Post House has shut

Pity about this, it was a nice place - must admit I only go that far along in town if I've got to go to Superdrug or nationwide.

It really now is short of nice trendy places for youngsters to go to unless something is opening up on Riverside

You might be a tad late. Got £150+ of plants & compost last Saturday for £13 + 75p on their club card. Not much left in ours when I nipped in yesterday. Hope you have better luck.

They had two tables full of 50p seed packets which was all I needed really :) nothing else in the price range I'd be willing to go to
Morning, are you going to the Tarporley one? Groupon had an afternoon tea deal recently for £6 for two.
If there are any good bargains there it might be worth the 30 minute drive there for me.:)

I went to the thornbury one. Normally garden centres are to be avoided like the plague in bank holidays but we got there early enough that we avoided the crinklies :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

In there they had a Brantano bit and they had Skechers at 25% off. The SA must have either been bored or thought I was gonna put them on and walk away because she wouldn't leave me alone

  • Good afternoon.

    Glorious here.

Invited DD and kids round for a roast lunch, their kitchen being out of action due to new installation. Also brought their washing, 3 lots, then I took the children home while DD went for the flooring. So a busy day. Feet up any minute now!

Co-op on way home, cottage cheese 5p. :T

Sainsbob have a great own label nappy deal on just now. £2 a pack for 40ish nappies (various sizes)

So this isn't a glitch, it's just a cracking comparison (adjusted to reflect different pack size within 10%) that should last for almost a couple of weeks
