We faced a similar dilemma. In the end decided that we (well OH - too far for me to drive!) will collect DS2's stuff on Friday just gone. OH left at 6am, 200 miles down the M6 & M1 and got to work at 9am.

DS2 can follow on the train with just the essentials he has left with him.

Seems like an end of an era, had one of them at the same uni for the last 8 years...degree..masters...degree...masters. All finishes next week.

DD2 said she had forgotten how much she usually takes, we were hoping she could go it alone but she will be in hospital accommodation so we think there may be lots of stairs to tackle if it's anything like the accommodation tower in Poole. And I really don't think she is going to fit it all in one car, it's all those medical books. :o

I did tell her to pack lightly as she is only there few months then moves on to Shrewsbury. Not sure I want to go through it again in one year and she will be back before going off to her elective, nothing definite planned there yet though. Will be six years studying by the end of this last year. DD1 just did the three years so we will have done 8 in total between them by the time DD2 finishes. Sort of relieved DD3 is not following in their footsteps....

We will be M27, A34, M40, M6 I think, and I will be driving. Will have to catch M27 really early before all the holiday makers decide to leave for home.

Yes but soggy ferrero is better than no ferrero the same way that bad breath is infinitely superior to no breath at all. :)

Speaking of ferrero, only realised the other day that Ferraro is the Italian for Smith!

Anyhoo, today got the burn-the-house-down setting on our tumbledryer replaced with the don't-burn-the-house-down setting.

I know of someone who got their delivery today  No such thing as next day delivery when you live in Outer Mongolia, it'll be at least Wednesday if I'm getting mine  :rotfl:

Good luck with getting everything packed up for your DD!

I'm just surprised by the very existence of out-of-date chocolate. It's a bit like those recipes that suggest we use leftover wine. ;)

Anyhoo, here's a good night choon for all
