Our local paper's FB page have been asking for suggestions of how to celebrate Laura Trott's gold medal wins. When she won her 2 golds at the London 2012, the 2 post boxes outside our main post office were painted gold. Some people are suggesting that the big stone fountain in the middle of the pond in our high street is also painted gold. This would be a great idea, as too is the open top bus tour of the high street

Scamps I have arthritis in both my big toes and early arthritis in my knees :o

I saw a consultant a couple of months back and he said that any surgeon who values their GMC membership wouldn't offer fusion because of its high failure rate.

They can do a reconstruction using bone from your hip or they can do an ankle replacement, although that's rare and getting funding for that is harder than winning the cycling gold

Definitely look at the food groups. Hopefully tomorrow's appointment will help and give you some more options :)

Oh no /scamps, that is bad. I see what you've posted later too, about removing the ankle. Would they fuse your bones?

As I said, A check up has been booked. :o

Yes, sorry to be the bearer of bad news scamps. I used to eat loads. Grew them every year and would often pick one just to pop into my mouth while I was, weeding, hanging clothes out etc etc.

Great you've got to have a check up, keep us informed of how it goes. If there's anything I can do, let me know. I'm the proud owner of one replacement knee :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Sorry to hear your news scamps. Hope they're able to do something to help you.

Not feeling the Olympic love tonight after last night's excitement. Early night for me I think, women's hockey brings back too many schoolday memories. That game used to terrify me lol.
