Well done on the Le Creuset davemorton, very jealous here :D

That said, I found out the other day that my griddle is Le Creuset! Got it in Army and Navy quite a few years ago, OH was told to eat more healthily so decided to griddle stuff rather than frying it, picked up this one in the sale for about £20. Thought it was a good price for a griddle, suspect this must have been before the name became fashionable

:( I had a beautiful red set in a special pine cabinet for a wedding present with exDH but I had to leave it behind when we parted :( but did get all the Portmeirion instead :)

Oh nanny....another bittersweet moment...sad to see them go but great that they have their independence.

I've been reading with interest the posts about children and whether and how much they should contribute to living expenses.
I remember giving £20 a week to my parents and that was yonks and yonks ago. They were grateful for my contribution and it made a difference.
I haven't had a working child at home.....yet:) so it's a conversation for the future but I feel that they should pay their way. It's real life isn't it...if they weren't at home they would be paying rent and council tax, food and utilities. It's a good deal living at home I think:)
