Just been on the phone to BT as my amazon prime has been dropping out. Infinity now available so I was put through to sales.
I have currently been using a copper connection at the charge of £5 a month with free tv. They wanted £26 for the Infinity 1 !!!

Mhoc will be so proud of me. I tried to get a discount with no luck so I was searching for something cheaper to compare and sky showed £5 a month for 12 months for the same thing. Told man on phone.
He suddenly found another discount button and offered me an 18 month infinity 1 contract for £8 a month.
As I was paying £5 plus £3 for the internet security this works out at the same price as with infinity the internet security is in the price.

So no price change but gone from copper to infinity. No need to pay postage for a hub 5 as I already have one from old house.
Have to pay connection charge but my internet on copper has been pretty dire so very happy.
Would have been better if infinity had been available when I moved in as was no activation fee then but they would have wanted more.

Feeling very very pleased with myself:T:T:T

    Hello
I hope you don’t mind me briefly butting in. (Don’t know why but I feel a bit embarrassed.)
I have been living away for a while and so I’m not really in touch with all things shopping, including APG but I think I have found a little meat glitch on last night's receipt.

I can’t work out the sums – but hope it might be helpful.

Multi buy fresh meat 2 for £7 shows on receipt but is missing on the APG.
    1x ASDA Butcher's Selection Thin Cut Beef Sizzle Steaks with Salt & Pepper Rub (310G) - £3.91 - £2.55T (N/A –SMW)
    1x ASDA Butcher's Selection 4 Peppercorn Beef Medallions (350G) - £4.00- N/AT (N/A –SMW)

Big apologies if this is old news!

It's amazing what you can get if you persist. It's taken me about 5 phone calls so far and about 4 hours on the phone but I've gone from cancelling the tv bit to keeping the package I've already got but switching to fibre and saving myself over £20 a month :j
My bill was going up from about £37 to nearly £66, now down to £44 so it's still £7 up but it will do.
But July is not correct so another phone call tomorrow ...

I got more of the 99p apples from another Home Bargain this afternoon - pink cripps apples from South Africa, 4 apples about 125g - nice crispy apples
They also had the smaller fun size apples suitable for lunch boxes - bigger bag, didn't see what these were. Also got 6 small bananas
It's an odd place to get fruit and veg from but now I think about it when the market is not on if you want a healthy snack actually in the town centre there is only a choice of 2 places, an expensive fruit and veg shop and Home Bargains :)

Am I missing the point about the Pink Lady apples or have I got some different ones? The ones I got were some small kids-size apples - are they the ones referred to? If they are the right ones, it turned out that a pack of 10 was £1 anyway - so no need to buy two packs - the price seems to be £1 or any 2 for £2 so no saving. The £1 price labelling actually gave a different number of apples so there didn't appear to be a SEL for the individual price for the 10 pack even though the packs were marked "Any 2 for £2". I took a couple to the till, along with another item I was already buying, and asked what the individual price was. It was £1.

I bought both packs anyway as we'll use them and the £1 offer (or the '2 for £2') could end at any time. However I notice that either my receipt has taken £1 off the price of 2 or the SA cancelled one of the packs - is the till taking off the full price for one when two are scanned - is that the glitch? Therefore, two packs (=20 apples) for £1?

Unfortunately, if it was a glitch or if instead the SA took the price of one pack off in error, I think I still paid the full amount and didn't get the extra £1 back in change:o. I think I gave over a penny over the correct total amount, with the other item, as I was expecting to pay 2 for £2 for the apples and I don't recall getting more change back than expected - although tbh I just put it into my pocket and left. I noticed when I'd got home that the receipt bill was actually £1 lower than expected - but I reckon both me and the SA were expecting me to pay £1 more and that amount was taken. So, if there's a glitch, I probably ruined it (can't remember/don't know if I got more change than expected or not as it was all in the haze) and paid the full price in error because, as I understand it from here, the price is £2 for 20 and nobody's been telling me it should be £1. I think the SA simply cancelled my second pack after also scanning it initially - I don't think there's a glitch - but are two packs (of 10 small apples) going through at a total of £1?

If they're the same apples and if there's no glitch on the pricing, then there's no need to buy 20 at all - 10 for a total of £1 can be bought instead (so I don't know why people are under the impression that you need to buy 20 apples for £2). I don't know why people are buying more than necessary and paying for that. They are £1 and 2 for £2 (no saving!), although one was taken off from my receipt in error although I think I still paid for the two packs I got:o:o.

If we really should be paying £1 for 20 apples, then please can people tell me this expressly and say to me they are £1?!! That's better than posting that 20 are £2 and misleading me into paying that:rotfl:. So, correct information in future please:p:rotfl::rotfl:.

EDIT: I notice hotukdeals page says that they are kids apples. So it appears the individual price has gone down from £1.50 to £1. Or maybe this is store-specific or the individual price has since gone back up again (I bought them about 2 days ago). Iceland's website today says £1.50 for the individual price for Pink Lady Apples min. 8 which appear may be a pack of 10 (BC 6 009689 030685).

As £1 was taken off my receipt, the mbuy discount could still have been being applied even though the price had gone down - and therefore there would be a glitch!:j - however I don't know what a mbuy discount on Iceland receipts looks like. It doesn't say mbuy discount or anything like that on my receipt. It looks like one pack was cancelled - therefore no glitch:(. However, the deduction of £1 does match the 50p extra for each pack at previous £1.50 price.

Now I have my nutri bullet :) I thought I'd try to emulate the milky bar crushems I buy now and again for £2 each in KFC . I must say its not a bad comparison. Theirs is colder and a bit tastier but mine is acceptable :).

I ve been watching what they do as much as I can. I used semi skimmed milk some condensed milk in a tube some white chocolate drops and a bit of ice cream and whizz it all together :D

Frozen food item Taj Chillies (400g) are not making the list. They're part of the 2 for £1 offer in M (supposed to be until 24/7) but don't appear to be in A and therefore no 10%. Shana Green Chilli (300g) is 2 for £1 in M but it's lower weight than the Taj on same price.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 10 Pink Lady apples (2 for £2) had gone from £1.50 to £1.00 individual price as items on mbuy in supermarkets generally go to and from individual prices to mbuy prices that are based on the individual offer prices and make no saving. It seems to be just there to get people to buy more, and pay for that, thinking that they are actually getting any better price than an individual offer price when in fact they are not. Supermarkets are made to get us to buy more from them, as that's how they make money and their existence is there to make money.

So, it seems like the hotukdeals person got caught by the mbuy appearing to be a good offer (as did I by ending up buying two:o). In fact, straight £1 price, which they were on the day of my purchase and probably still are (it was only a couple of days ago) is the price we should be taking them at (if there's no glitch when buying 2 - if there's no glitch, the mbuy does not make any saving).
