Thanks - he did give it a go this evening, in similar attire:cool:
But hardly any of the powder came out when he squirted it upwards ;);)
You never know, we might be lucky - I guess it's like getting pregnant - it only takes one little swimmer to do the job :rotfl:
I then dashed to T's as it went dark, to see if they had anything with a better puffing function ;)
They didn't - if only I'd known about the pizza glitch, it would have taken my mind off the wasps :rotfl::rotfl:
It's going to be a looong night. The bed in the spare room is full of things we've been sorting out today, so I can't even sleep there :o

Sorry, still catching up, so have not seen your other posts yet, but are you having problems with wasps? If so, B&Q do an amazing foam. It is quite cheap £3-5, and it works really well, and can squirt a good 4-5 meters.

We must have bought something different as ours puffed in from any angle.

    Fingers crossed for you x

Thanks, will be in B&Q first thing tomorrow :beer:
The one we used was something we already had in our garage, as it was too late to go anywhere but T's when I noticed them.

Just remembered I came on earlier to post about finding decent RTC's in a small local co op today on shampoos, shower gels, deos, handwashes, medication etc. All was about 75% off I think.

A dove stick deo was 75p, radox handwash 60p, couple of L'Oreal elvive shampoos/conditoners 400ml £1.10, baby bongela 95p. There were lots more than I can remember.

The same reductions were not at a bigger co op I stopped at the one near where I pick DD up from work. Maybe just be the little stores.

I see the T meal deal is on until the 23rd so as long as Morribobs keep their price low (savvy where are you?) I should be able to get a few deals.

I think I'm going to need a bigger fridge!

Anyone know of any nice fridges going cheap? (I was thinking of getting a new one anyway)

Got one on ebay last month, only 7 month old, lovely condition. But unfortunatly it is getting turned into a brew fridge and will be at about 22 degrees most of the time

If anyone can give their expertise on the following, I would be most grateful ....

We have noticed wasps going in and out of the fascia boards of our house. The wasps are going in at two separate points, about a metre apart.

    1. Does this mean that there are 2 nests, or just one nest that they are accessing at different points?

    2. Also, when it comes to treating it, would we need to treat both access points? OH can reach one of them (with a ladder), but not the other.

    3. Finally, as the access point is under the fascia board, and can't be seen from inside the attic, is there any advice on how to apply the powder to the access point? Even after shaking the container, hardly any powder comes out when it is pointing upwards!

As always, thanks for any advice and tips

The foam is amazing, it is their own make, and if the wasps even touch it, they seem to instantly die. I dont like using it unless I have to, as believe it or not, wasps are good for the garden, but sometimes you have to.

I was going to take pics of my pipes for LEJC. :rotfl: But it's a bit late now.

I no longer have compression joints they have been cut out and replaced with soldered ones.

It looks like when battons were put up for ceiling it was put to tight to pipe going up and must have pushed against it causing the decaying pipe to crack where compression joint was. Ended up with a nice lot of water today when plumber tried to fix it just by tightening what he thought was a lose connection.

Anyway he said in an ideal world for age of house he would have liked to have replaced the rest of the pipe going up into the loft but it's all a bit difficult to get to. So he has just cut out the T-section and replaced with soldered joints. He said he hoped him cutting things out won't have had a knock on affect further down the line. And he nearly caught fire to the house with his blow torch part of the connection was really close to the joist and corner of skirting board in our room both are now a bit black.

But looks like the extended patches that appeared today are drying out already, and hopefully he has sorted us out. Bless him he didn't even want to charge me, mates or not I told him not to be stupid so he said a tenner, but I gave him more. ;)

Random comment, just in case this is of interest to anyone - when I did go to T's this evening, my bill came to £1 :)
I put a pound coin into the slot, but it didn't recognise that I had paid - the till still asked for payment. Anyway, as I had only bought one item and had definitely put in the £1 coin, I told the SS supervisor, who shook the coin section, checked that it hadn't come out at the bottom, and then just went to the SS supervisor's 'desk', got a pound coin and gave it to me to pay with!
It made me think that it didn't seem like this was the first time this had happened, and how many people would have just carried on paying until the till told them to stop
If it wasn't for the fact that I knew for sure that I had paid, as the bill was exactly £1 and I had definitely put a £1 coin into the slot, I would have doubted it myself.

Always a wise idea to keep a man who is good with your water works on side ;)
