What do you usually use in this country LS? Just if you are on contract, I know a lot of the phone companies let you buy an add-on to make calls when overseas. [STRIKE]I know I paid about £2 a month[/STRIKE] free, but can use my inclusive calls and texts [STRIKE]overseas[/STRIKE]only in Europe. May be worth looking into if on a contract.
    Edit: Correcting mistakes.

Vodafone. I know I can add eurotraveller for £3 a day, but thats obviously not going to cover USA at the end when I am much more likely to want to use phone. I did briefly look into it.

Random question for you as I know you like your cruises - have you ever smuggled alcohol on? And if so what did you use? Disney has gone from a take what you like onboard to 2 bottles of wine, so am considering options!

Always got the timing wrong with anything financial...
Never mind, I'll have more time to chase glitches and bargains!

Congratulations on your retirement pippo. :)

No, but I looked into it a little. People seem to like rumrunners. Also, you can watch youtube videos where you get a bottle of water, put its neck in boiling water, then you can take the top and security seal off in one piece, refill, then put it back on.
Ig you are allowed wine, i would be tempted, if you know any home brewers, to re-cork some wine bottles with your chosen poison ;)
