Firefox's spellchecker is useless! Can it be improved?

Firefox's British dictionaries are terrible! I've spent years adding words to it, and in almost every post I write, it still finds a new (perfectly valid) word that it doesn't recognise. At least I know I have a good vocabulary, I guess. :-/ Is there any way this can be improved? I searched a few times, thinking there must…

I had a great English teacher in the 60s who liked to retain the Britishisms in our language and to not let the Americanisms infiltrate into our spelling and pronunciation, so I've retained that philosophy. Words like schedule and lieutenant are just some of them that irritate me in films, plus the 'z' replacing the 's'.

At least the Yanks have now replaced their old 'I'm !!!!ed' when annoyed with our 'I'm !!!!ed off'.

You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.
