It should still work. The call to the 080 number will be free. 18866 will bill you for a call to an 03 number and will be unaware of any further call forwarding.

Be aware that weQ4U does not 'phone 084 and 087 numbers'. You call their 03 number and key in an 084 or 087 number. Their system then uses the sayNOto0870 database to look up an 01, 02, 03 or 080 number. If one is found, their system calls that number. If nothing is found, the call ends.

Dialling an 080 number, to then dial an 03 number, which then dials another number could end up with abysmal call quality.

Now that customer services, financial services, public services and healthcare services are no longer allowed to use 084, 087 or 09 numbers, make sure you look on the official website of whoever you intended to call. Chances are they have changed their number and now list an 01, 02, 03 or 080 number.

You can then simply call the 080 number direct or call the 01, 02 or 03 number via the 18866 service by using their 080 access number.

Treat all numbers found on old paperwork and on third-party websites as being out of date.

..further to this ,examine all paperwork carefully for numbers -I received a renewal quote for home insurance recently, 3 different numbers on 3 different pages!!
One was an 0800 number:T, the second was an 0345 number and the third was the "old"0845 number!!
