Mppi

Options
Hello,
We have a mortgage and have MPPI (Mortgage payment protection insurance) but on the bottom our independent financial adviser pointed out that we have been paying PPI on top of our monthly MPPI premium and we never knew anything about it or noticed it on our statements. :(
Our IFA suggested we came on here and claimed the PPI back ourselves to recover all the money not just a percentage due to an other company taking a cut.

I have looked through Martin's step by step guide but it all seems to be with regards to Banks and Bank loans.

Is it the same process against the company that sold us the MPPI and mis sold us the PPI on top of it?
any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

That is because it is mostly banks, credit card providers and loan providers that have had issues. That doesnt mean others cannot be complained about. Just that they are not where the majority of the problems were.

It should be noted that there is no problem with having PPI and MPPI. One covering mortgage and a bit more covering income is allowed as long as you dont go over the limit. However, you can complain in the same way.

Can I ask who your mortgage was originally taken out with?

The op made one post 10 days ago and has not logged in since.

Why would someone who works for a ppi company drag up old posts?

    Why indeed....

I guess claim companies are becoming as quiet as this forum is these days. The peak of PPI complaints has long since passed...
