We both work full time so they get the pleasure of a 2 year old all day :rotfl:

It helps us out hugely as we only have to pay for 3 days nursery (and just the 3 days a week is £860 a month )

Childcare costs are extortionate. My DD is waiting until the 30hours free care for her DD kicks in before having another baby. Imagine having to pay for 2 full time!! Luckily my DD only works part time but I think even that is around £500 per month for 3 part days. I am sure your parents enjoy spending time with your DS. I always feel for friends whose grandchildren live a long way away or who don't get on with their children and never see their grandchildren.

  • Child care is sooo exspensive. Luckily DS1 turns three and gets his 30 hours a month after I return to work so it'll only be a month or so paying £900 a month for 2 days a week!! Madness! My mum and dad both work shifts so it's hard to and dp's mum lives a 2 hour drive away. I'd love to be able to help the boys out when they are older. My parents are both nearing retirment age but haven't decided when they will go yet. There will be some freedom in the future it just feels a long way away ha ha! I can't wait to book a hotel and get away with DP for dinner a few drinks and a lie in. X

  • Yes it will, maybe in a year or so.

Right payday is here! No extra mat pay!! But after calling payrol they still haven't sorted these payments out yet phew I thought I wasn't entitled. We shall see. I have emailed and asked for an up on this so will see what they say but no one seems to want to answer questions incase they are wrong.

I did however get a £350 bonus that's I wasn't exspecting so that was nice. I put £25 in the birthday fund for DP and I've kept £55 aside to get my hair dyed next week I'm just feeling so rundown I need something to refresh me. Other than that all money moved to bills accounts etc and any extra put into savings.

I need to go onto the laptop and decrease the car savings to £20 per month instead of £40.

DS1 is so poorly he's had s&d for 3 full days now poor little guy.

Mother's Day and step mum's Birthday need to come from this payday so I will have talk with my sis and get these brought asap so I know where I am pocket money wise.

The Star Wars bits on eBay end this week and it's looking like we'll make at least £130 this plus our savings standing order should take us back up to over £1500 in savings whoop :0)

Think that's all to report. X

  • Bit of a spendy day oops but I new it was coming. It's always around a certain time of the month (if you get me) that I get urges to shop and changed hair etc. Does anyone else get this?

£30 spent on odds and ends and a scooter for DS1 he's still so poorly I wanted to treat him plus I've been eyeing one up to make our walks more fun.

£29 spent on some new jeans nice 3/4's ready for summer.

£20 on make up but I ordered my usuals from eBay as it worked out cheaper than boots.

I still need a few flowers my mums best at flower shopping though so may give her a budget and tell her what I need filling and let her go shopping for me.

and DP has just gone to fetch a dominos.

This week has been soooo much hard work with DS being soo sick and me running on 2-4 hours of broken sleep a night I feel a bit refreshed after a little shopping trip and a take away treat today. So all in all I'd say it's a small price to pay for my sanity being restored!

  • Oooh also forgot to post we spent £90 on tickets to a comedy gig in December for me DP and my dad. It's one of his fav comedians so I'll give him the ticket for his birthday.

£18 spent on a dress in the sale and some tights for my friends birthday meal next Wednesday. It was in the sale and free delivery.

That is it though!!! No more spending!!! I promise!!!!

DS is up and had breakfast so now time to see if he's sick or not. Fingers crossed the sickness has passed poor little guy hasn't kept food down for 4 days now and he's so weak. He'll be off school again today but hopefully have a bit more life in him and we can play a few games etc.

Dp's late shift tonight so he will pop to Aldi with a list I send later for nappies, wipes etc to last the month. X

  • Thanks huskyrunner, I just adjusted my existing policy but I do use TopCashback for everything where I can :0)

£42 spent on the next sale. Few jumpers for the boys next winter then a few presents for friends birthday to stash away so it'll save me money in the long run.

Soft play date yesterday £20 spent total for play and lunch and cake.

Soft play date again today but I think I'll just have a snack before I go as I'm feeling so bloated for eating crappy for a few days so I'll just spent entry and grub for DS.

Dp wants to work his day off tomorrow as he's not at the stage where each car he sells earns him £100 and he's over the amount we need for bills so it's all extra for the savings.....I was looking forward to a nice day off together but I'll see how he does today and how I'm feeling later. He's s good egg. X

  • Clear score updated the £1000 I paid of the cc in Jan has finally showed....it has had no effect on my credit score! Oops should have just kept the money in the savings as this would have probably helped the mortgage case more. !!!!!!!

£50 spent on a spa day for my mum for Mother's Day. I'm pretty low in the pocket money account already. I'll work out what's left later and figure out how much I've got to play with for play dates etc. X

Mortgage companies don't look at credit scores - those numbers are basically meaningless. What they'll be looking at is the total amount of debt as part of your outgoings to figure out 'affordability' - that is, how much money you've got spare each month for the mortgage. They tend to be very cautious about it too, so they're doing that calculation on the basis of a worst case scenario in terms of debt repayments and mortgage rates. The higher your deposit, the better the interest rate, but the smaller your debt the less likely you are to be turned down.
