27/5 - DIP Done and hard credit check, changed DIP 3 times though over the next 6-8 weeks due to 2 crazy sellers/long story also gained a gifted deposit to change the LTV

31/7 - Application submitted along with most of paperwork
2/8 - Additional information sent from accountant and proof of deposit/gift.
6/8 - LBS Request additional bank statements.
    8/8 - Valuation Carried out
10/8 - LBS Request new accountant cert as the first one didn't have a stamp on it (how trivial). Also called them and they confirmed valuation matched the purchase price
13/8 - Called them today to confirm receipt of new cert, I was told it's in the queue again to be assessed, will hear by Wednesday.

I'm hoping we get the offer Wednesday and not a request for more information :)

Does anyone know if I should be able to see a search on my experian by now?
I have been advised by MB that credit search has been done but I am unable to see anything on experian?

Just had an update that the evidence is satisfactory and has gone to the underwriters, who should come back by Friday? Question is do underwriters come back requesting more information or will this be an offer?

From everything I’ve read it will either be more questions from the underwriters/request for more info or an offer
  • Thank you, I'm sure it will be more information as the wait is causing me lack of sleep already!

Just been told my offer is in the post. Underwriters approved it today. 16 Days from start to finish however 6 days of that were probably self inflicted due to additional info they wanted I could have pre-empted/prevented
  • Hey that's great news for you!
Leeds have come back to us today requesting us to sign a declaration about who resides in the property and whether we are financially dependent on them or they on us!
Only have my 2 year old who they know about to declare on this apparently it's standard!
    This has been submitted.
Heres to hoping they now don't take 3 days to look at that!

Thanks, offer all signed and returned here :)

Sadly, it will go to back of queue again and will take 3 days, that's the norm with Leeds :(

That's hopeful though if that's all the underwriters wanted, I'd say your next contact off them will be an offer. Sure you didn't miss something off the application as we didn't get asked this?
  • You've just given me more information as I was not aware you have to sign and return the offers!
I'm clueless being a first time buyer and previously been declined through Kensington (Debt repair specialist company due to my partners bad decisions in 2012).

I don't believe anything was missed as it was done through a MB but you never know!
Here's hoping next communication is an offer, the MB seems to think we should hear tomorrow!

Just to help other people with timescales too:

I submitted full application on the 13th June
    Initial checks passed.
Valuation Booked in for Wednesday 20th June
Found out 25th June valuation has been passed
Mortgage Advisor informed me today that they are doing final checks and not too worry!( still stressing)
    Awaiting for final offer

    Offer received 29th June 2018
    Took 4 days from Valuation!

    Now on with Solicitors! -

Had a nightmare with the property, had to take a indemnity insurance out.

    Waiting for completion now!:j:j

Just hope its all plain smooth running now!:(
  • I’ve applied for a mortgage through Leeds & feeling a tad worried! Got a DIP approved straight away - no details have changed apart from credit card balances decreasing due to monthly payments & I accidentally put my wage as £73 less an annum, so I actually earn more!

We got the DIP, got the house valued privately (the sellers did as a private sale), gave ID, 3 months of payslips and bank statements, gift deposit form. Now waiting on a “retype” of the valuation. Seemingly this is normal practice just to get it straight from the surveyors. They said it saves paying again.

How does everyone think this looks? Just so nervous!
