I know First Utility allow this but does anyone know others?
I prefer to pay by variable monthly DD as i'm a fairly low user and dont want to build up a big credit amount..tnx

British Gas ran "energy smart " where the customer supplied a monthly meter reading and got an exact monthly direct debit. It was active for years, not sure if its still in force now.0

E.on and EDF do. You need to speak to custoerm service to move onto it, but its avaialbe on any tariff.
You should be able to sign up for a fixed DD via any channel and then change over to variable once your contract has been set up.0 -
