NPower June bill

I was asked for my online readings by 3rd June and actually sent them on 28th May and they are showing correctly. However, I have for the first time ever, not had a bill calculated.

I contacted them and was told that a new set of readings, by phone, would enable them to do a manual calculation. However, the person I next spoke to took the readings and said a bill will be available within 10 days but probably over night.

Neither person knew why the problem occurred, so is it just my account or is there a general glitch ?

If readings were required for 3rd June and you provided readings 28 May, then those were outside the accepted window of 5 days, so your bill will need to be estimated if produced. Perhaps that is why they didn't produce one for you?

Anyway, all sorted now (almost). You have provided up to date meter readings and they have promised you a bill within 10 days, but hopefully tomorrow :)

I gave the readings in the correct window, as they were sent a couple of days after the request was received.

My bill has been calculated but is not yet online. (Pleasant surprise that the account is in credit).

It shouldn't be a surprise - if you keep an eye on your readings, payments and statements you should know exactly how much you owe them or they owe you
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
