2.1%...... Tesco fixed rate saver 5 years. One bank...one account.
It would give you an income of £262.50 per month fixed for 5 years.
I get about twice that but I do have more than 10 accounts split between my partner and I. I feel it's worth the effort.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Presumably you would not wish to deposit £150,000 with any one institution except NS&I - deposits in income bonds with NS&I receive 1% interest paid gross monthly so £1500 over a year.
Other savings rates below.

With regard to depositing the money in two bank accounts, even high interest bank accounts only pay the high interest rate on limited amounts of money, and that is far, far below £75,000.0 -
One Bank answer: Bank of Baroda: 2.38% AER
Protected: split between Bank of Baroda and Fidor: 2.415%0 -
Depending on whether this is a sole or joint account of course.0

Tesco's is a modern company, and therefore have a website.
This is money, is the Daily mail. So is dependent on advertising0
